The SMEG had the lot, and despite still being £299* after being reduced by 50 quid was what we went for in the end. It was also the only stainless steel-fronted one on show. * If I recall correctly, this is still less than we paid 9 years ago. It goes without saying, that, despite being a vast 'warehouse' Currys, it wasn't actually in stock apart from the demo model, but to be fair, the delivery was well handled and with plenty of 'information' coming my way without asking. ...Ladies and gentlemen, in this review, I'm going to wax lyrical about my SMEG.... that's an oven. Recently my husband and I - blimey I sound like the Queen - decided it was time to re-vamp our kitchen. We were living with the one which came with the house which was fine really but had been designed in about 1982, hence the floor was bright red, the cupboards were pine the tiles were grey the work surfaces were grey, the doors were bright blue with red handles all the towel rails were red and the oven.... was pants! It was old, gas powered and had only two settings, RED HOT or off. And when I say red hot I mean you could probably smelt iron in it, you could fry eggs on the door after about 10 minutes and by dint of the fact it didn't melt I can only assume the lining was made of cunningly disguised ganister. ...I bought the UK91 pretty much as a mistake, as I originally wanted a 80cm width range cooker to fit within the confines of a moderately sized kitchen, I originally requested the UK80 (80cm x 60cm), but Smeg had just discontinued the model, and in my infuriation, the distributor had sent the UK81 instead. The UK81 is only 55cm deep, which would have meant that there would have been a big difference in the worktop being 60cm deep and the cooker only 50cm. I’ve no idea where they will sell that one. But I’m not the one selling it. After realising the options available, I decided to opt for the UK91 (90 x 60cm) instead. I bought it off the Internet after browsing the shops for what I want. It took a month of the UK81 in my front room for the distributor to correct their error. But the end justifies the means. It was just fortunate... Read review

...I can`t believe that I am actually sitting here writing an opinion on a cooker hood. What the Smeg can I possibly say that will make anyone out there want to buy a Smeg KSEIV95X cooker hood ? And who the hell would want to put anything in their kitchen with the word SMEG emblazoned across it. The modern homes exhibition will never be the same again. Beautiful fitted kitchens that contain more SMEG than a Thailand brothel. It is a hood, it is made by Smeg, it goes above the cooker and it sucks out all the unwanted fumes that make your nice clean home smell like a backstreet greasy spoon diner. And before anyone asks me, yes, I do get commission for the number of times I include the name SMEG in my op (I wish). lmao. The KSEIV95X cooker hood from Smeg (god, I hate saying that word) is quite simply the Rolls Royce of cooker hoods... Read review

On a general note, we fully kitted out our kitchen with Smeg, we have had problems with everything and have been very unimpressed with Smeg quality and customer service. ...I recently purchased the SMEG DF614 and wanted to share my experience with you. The main criteria for selection was:- - Brand Name - Reasonable Price - Energy efficient – A rating - Stainless steel finish – to match décor - That it washed dishes ok Since purchasing the product my experience was that the machine was very good, I found that it cleaned very well and was easy to empty and refill. I liked the temperature ranges, although the lower temperatures did not always produce the best results. It isn’t very noisy, although I do have it in the utility room. There are 9 programs for different types of washes. There is also quite a bit of room to fit everything in. The stainless steel colour is nice and the exterior was very easy to clean. ...Since I have started writing reviews on the contents of my kitchen I would like to follow up by telling you about my SMEG fridge freezer yes the names funny but the fridge freezer is a serious piece of equipment that I would never be without even though it cost my mum as a house warming present over £1700 well she would not buy me any other brand as she swears by SMEG and we have always had this brand in my family home. I know what you are all thinking why spend so much on a fridge freezer well the truth is if it had not been bought for me then I would never be able to afford it. ...I don't know what I'd do without this, probably my favourite appliance (mind you, the washing machine comes close!). We bought this over a year ago when we refitted the kitchen, and I decided very early on, no matter what, however many units we have to forsake, we were going to have a BIG cooker! I've struggled for years cooking roast dinners (joint of beef, yorkshires, roast spuds, roast parsnips etc.) in a small oven - well... no more! Christmas Day is now much easier (always appreciated girls?) thanks to this fab oven. We chose this model because a friend has a similar one. The Smeg make came highly recommended from all quarters, so we decided to look at those, mainly because of reliability and build quiality, which is superb. ...When I moved house I left my old washing machine behind and I knew I was going to get a new kitchen so bought this integrated appliance for the future. I must admit though I did not do enough research on this product. This was mainly due to the need for a washing machine and also my friend has a SMEG washing machine. This appliance does everything you need for a washing machine. You can vary the spin speed from 1600 down to 600 depending on the type of fabric so is quite flexible. Across the top of the appliance you have the soap/conditioner drawer which is divided into prewash and was soap and a separate compartment for fabric conditioner.
