...My experiences relate to Venture in Leamington Spa and Solihull. We were bought a voucher to have a session and a 10"x8" picture and made the appointment at the Solihull branch. We went in on my son's first birthday and met our photographer. That's where the fun started. I should point out before the rest of this review that I am a keen amateur photographer and I'm also an IT consultant and geek. Anyway, the photographer appeared to me to be a student just out of college (or possibly still in college). I spoke to her about the equipment and it was clear to me that the concept of 'f-stops' or 'the inverse square law' were completely unknown. "Hmmm", I thought. ...Place fitness centre, situated on the campus of Solihull College (that's the West Midlands to those not hot on their geography). Granted, the usually opulent and lavish Holmes Place club has been dumbed down slightly in this incarnation, with prices suitably lower than at more high profile franchises (see the op on the West Kensington branch for suitable proof). Despite this, the building is well furnished, airy and stylish and has all the hallmarks of a quality gymnasium (not that I've seen many). The biggest factor contributing to its diminished prices is the lack of a Swimming Pool on site. Me, I'd rather do without for the sake of a few quid extra per month. Their nurseries stock over 3000 types of hardy plants each carrying a two-year guarantee. They are well set out and it is easy to find what you are looking for . If you cant there are always members of staff happy to help you. All plants are clearly priced . Each has its own name label on it .I had never seen so many different pots in one place until I went to Solihulls Notcutts. They stock many different types in many different colours. Along with pots they also have paving slabs decking and water features. They also have sheds and conservatories. ...I love garden centres and Notcutts is one I visit regularly. My nearest branch is just off the M42, junction 4, south of Solihull. This is the only Notcutts I have ever used although they do have a further 12 around the midlands and south east. This branch has a large car park which is shared with Tesco, so at busy times it can take a while to find a space. On walking into the garden centre you first go through the cut flowers section. This always smells lovely. Their flowers are not the cheapest but the quality looks excellent. If I wanted to buy flowers as a gift I would choose them from here. Further on there are indoor plants.
