Sony, help...I've lost my memory
Review of Sony CLIÉ PEG-S300E by
rayliu
Advantages: Useful 'Gadget' to have to if your not very good at remembering things (i.e. me). Its Sony so its well designed and Jog Dial is fantastic. Palm OS PDA is great.
Disadvantages: Its a PDA so only has a lifespan of a year unless you are satisfied with it. Memory Stick is expensive and you cant run programs from it.
...(Operating System) type of PDA’s left and even then I had so many choices. There are 3 companies that make Palm OS PDAs, which are Palm, Handspring and Sony.
The choice of Palm OS PDA’s for under £100 was limited. There was the Palm 105, which was retailing at about £80 and the Handspring Visor Edge at £99. The Palm 105 didn’t appealed because it had no expandability slot to add more memory later, the screen size was too small and the unit was fairly chunky. The Handspring on the other hand was very sleek looking with an aluminium exterior but had sacrificed some usability and functionality for looks. Palm had also releases a new £80 Zire PDA but with only 2MB of memory and no expandability option, it had too little memory for loading on further applications later.
The Visor Edge was my first choice, but then I realised I had the option...

Big is Beautiful. Another Triumph for Sony
Review of Sony VAIO FS115Z - Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
suddenend
Advantages: Unbelievably Clear Screen. Stylish Design. Great Keyboard
Disadvantages: No Floppy Drive. Too Little Memory. Expensive
...TCSC trial at a resolution of 1280 x 800 x 32bit and with all the effects up at maximum, so I didn't expect miracles. As soon as I lowered my expectations and came down to 800 x 600 x 32bit with more moderate effects settings things improved markedly. All in all the GPU is excellent at rendering images to the screen at a reasonable speed. Its handling of DVD video is outstanding and I have experienced absolutely no artefacts or stuttering while watching movies in full screen mode.
STORAGE
The FS115Z is equipped with a more than generous Toshiba 100Gb 4200rpm ATA Hard Disk, that is very quick thanks to its 8MB buffer and absolutely silent. My only quibble here is the way Sony have partitioned the drive. To save themselves the expense of providing a proper set of restoration discs they have borrowed 7Gb of the drive to store...

SUPER SONIC SONY VAIO NR10 LAPTOP
Review of Sony VAIO NR10E/S - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
donovan74
Advantages: DVD R/W, HIGH QUALITY, BEAUTY, GREAT VALUE
Disadvantages: DOES NOT MAKE COFFEE
...INTRO
I've been using Laptops now for around ten years and must say they are improving beyond belief in every way. I've owned many brands of Laptops that include Dell, Compact, IBM, HP and a Toshiba (most recent), I have always loved the Laptop concept and will now review my new beloved Sony Vaio NR10 Laptop.
LOOKING FOR A NEW LAPTOP
As with any other products on today's markets there is usually stiff competition and as far as Computers go it's more competitive now than ever. I began to look for a new Laptop last month in the January sales, which is the best time in my opinion as there's often big mark downs on prices and bargains to be had. Now the funny thing is I've always been a big Sony fan in every way (especially Sony Trintron TV''s) but never owned a Sony Computer or Laptop, so Sony was at the top of my list...

For Some Sony Mobiles
Review of Sony Memory Stick Micro M2 1024 MB by
shaaza
Advantages: Very fast in transferring files, rather cheap, keeps thousands of pictures and video clips
Disadvantages: 1GB not enough for some, very small making it hard to find if lost
...mobile phone as I already use my other mobile for music. The 1GB M2 card stores just over 1500 3Mp pictures, thousands of video clips and just over 200 Mp3 songs.
The Sony M2 card is compatible with many Sony ericsson mobiles including Sony Ericsson K770i, Z770, Z1010, K630, etc and also the Nec C616V.
The M2 card is very easy to insert, depending on your model, with my Sony ericsson K770i all I have to do is open the back cover and insert the M2 card in the slot until it clicks. The M2 card has an arrow on it, which tells you the side of the card that goes in first, this is rather helpful and could save time for those first time users.
You do have to make sure that the M2 card clicks in otherwise your mobile may not recognise the M2 card and also it may fall out if your M2 slot is on the side of your mobile. The memory card is soo small...

SONY VAIO - A stunning machine
Review of Sony VAIO PCV-RS122 - P4 2.4 GHz by
gusgusrule
Advantages: Fast, loads of storage, superb looking design
Disadvantages: Expensive
...Every three or four years I tend to browse for a new computer, I think its a suitable amount of time after which to renew a computer, as not only has new technology been introduced but it also come down in price slightly. I purchased this new Sony Vaio PCV RS122 in October of 2003. Before I got it, I had a Packard Bell. It was an older model with a 6 gb harddrive and about 96 MB ram, just to familiarise you with what I was coming from and for you to realise how impressed I was with the spec of this new machine from Sony. I made my purchase as part of a package and had it home within hours.
To start with I'll give a quick introduction to the specification. Its a 2.4Ghz Pentium 4 processor, and thus very fast, with 512MB RAM and an 80Gb hard drive. Its a cool unit finished in silver and makes the perfect addition to the home...

MY SONY WIRELESS HEADPHONES. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
Review of Sony Mdrrf 815K by
donovan74
Advantages: WIRELESS. SONY. LIGHTWEIGHT
Disadvantages: MIGHT MAKE YOU DEAF
...LOOKING FOR SOME HEADPHONES
Two years ago I was looking around for some decent headphones to replace my old Technics (which went beyond sellotape repair).
At the time I had no interest in wireless headphones as I thought it would not deliever the same bass response or clarity as the conventional corded plug-in headphones. So after browsing up and down the High Street I came across two types of wireless headphones (Philips and Sony) in Dixons and decided to try them both out.
The Philips unit was good for the sound but a bit clumsy whilst wearing it on my head (looked like a cyberman from Dr Who) which left me with the Sony MDRRF 815K. The first thing I noticed about the Sony headphones was that it was a lot more compact and lightweight compared with the bulky Philips and also upon listening to the headphones whilst in Dixons...

Sony MZN 710 MiniDisc Player.
Review of Sony MZN710 Net MD portable MiniDisc recorder by
dottymardon
Advantages: Small, Compact, Looks great and its a Sony
Disadvantages: Low earphone volume
..., MiniDisc users are no longer stuck with real-time recordings, but can use a computer to transfer an hour's worth of music in just a few minutes.
After a long search I finally decided for a stationary Sony MiniDisc deck to add to my Sony QS home stereo system and a matching Sony MZ-N710 MiniDisc Walkman to take along when leaving the house.
First impressions
The MZ-N710 is Sony's middle range NetMD MiniDisc recorder/player, mainly aimed towards the European market. Here in London, the price is still pretty steep and I suppose many presumptive buyers with limited budget will shy away from spending that amount of money for such a small device. Blank discs are also a bit pricey when compared to blank CD's, but nowhere near as horrendously expensive as memory cards.
The player comes in two different flavors - blue and silver. I...
