Review of Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A350K by
thebigc1690
Advantages: Packed with extras, looks good and feels good.
Disadvantages: See review for the very minor con`s.
...Sony are one of the newest companies to venture into the world of DSLR`s, having been producing some quite excellent point and shoot cameras for many years this is a move that most people in the photography world had expected to happen a long time ago and a lot had feared the day it did happen too.
The reason many photographers feared Sony entering the DSLR market is simply that it would be hard not to get drawn into what they had to offer but they feared that Sony might find the market too challenging and bale out leaving many photographers with cameras that they could not upgrade and would struggle to find lenses and accessories for.
When buying a point and shoot camera you are spending in the region of between 100 and 200 pounds for a top of the range model, whilst when purchasing a DSLR camera you could be looking at spending...

Sony, help...I've lost my memory
Review of Sony CLIÉ PEG-S300E by
rayliu
Advantages: Useful 'Gadget' to have to if your not very good at remembering things (i.e. me). Its Sony so its well designed and Jog Dial is fantastic. Palm OS PDA is great.
Disadvantages: Its a PDA so only has a lifespan of a year unless you are satisfied with it. Memory Stick is expensive and you cant run programs from it.
...and Handspring.. So it had to be silver for starters and as with most of Sony’s computing/personal entertainment products, it had to have the infamous Jog Dial on the left hand-side of the PDA.
The Clie S300 is relatively light, which may be down to the fact that the silver looking PDA is actually plastic and not metal as it may lead you to believe. It feels solid enough though. It’s relatively thin as well, only being surpassed by the Palm V and M series PDAs. At the top of the PDA is the Sony Memory Stick expansion port, which is (surprise surprise) only capable of accepting Sony’s proprietary Memory Stick. These are often more expensive than other solid state memory such as MultiMediaCard (MMC), Secure Digital (SD) or Compact Flash (CF) cards and the maximum Memory Stick you can get is 128mb.
Next to the expansion slot is an Infra-Red port...

My new friend Sony.. Soo Nice- Read if you dare...
Review of Sony VAIO V2S - P4 3.2 GHz - 20" TFT by
Vijay_Jag
Advantages: Huge storage & fast processor, Latest technology, future computer
Disadvantages: None yet discovered
...more then ever.
I spent weeks experimenting and using the programmes, weeks without internet, that is one thing, my computer had so many features, that internet became, boring. So I stopped using it for a while, I spent hours everyday, playing the games, listening to music watching new DVDs. Upon my third month of the computer, I used the internet, It was fast, no clogs/crashes. Computer was fine, and luckily no viruses and hackers were able to harm me, due to the new software included.
In my opinion, the Sony Vaio VGC-V2S computer is the best, luckily I haven't had the time, even after 5 months of purchase, to really discover all the power and features of the PC, which is good, because I'm still not bored, and I don’t think I will be now that I've got a friendly friend (That’s how I describe my PC...

Big is Beautiful. Another Triumph for Sony
Review of Sony VAIO FS115Z - Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
suddenend
Advantages: Unbelievably Clear Screen. Stylish Design. Great Keyboard
Disadvantages: No Floppy Drive. Too Little Memory. Expensive
...the WiFi card has an ON\OFF switch located on the front edge of the laptop base. I'm not sure if this is entirely necessary, but it does save a lot of messing about in Windows XP if you need to disconnect from a network in a hurry.
The FS115Z is not particularly well equipped when it comes to external connections, Sony have opted for the minimum they believe their core customers will require. In a way this has been forced on them by the positioning of the battery pack, which occupies the whole rear of the laptop.
Ports located on the right side of the base. From the rear:
· 1 x Power connector jack for the AC adaptor.
· 1 x 15 pin VGA D-Sub socket for an external monitor.
· 3 x USB 2.0 connectors supporting (High\Full\Low) speeds
· 1 x Sony Memory Stick port
· 1 x 4 Pin i.LINKT (IEEE1394) port
· 1 x PC-Card Slot for Type I...

For Some Sony Mobiles
Review of Sony Memory Stick Micro M2 1024 MB by
shaaza
Advantages: Very fast in transferring files, rather cheap, keeps thousands of pictures and video clips
Disadvantages: 1GB not enough for some, very small making it hard to find if lost
...it somewhere cramped is not good. The 1gb Memory card is lightweight making it difficult to hear it drop, it weighs under 5g which is almost nothing.
Note
---The Sony 1Gb M2 card comes with a five year manufacture warranty, which I think is great.
---The Sony M2 card looks almost the same as the SanDisk Micro SD card so it's best you read carefully before you buy to avoid disappointment. However, SanDisk also manufactures the M2 card so instead of seeing a Sony M2 card you might see a SanDisk M2 card, these cards are the same but different manufactures.
---The Sony M2 card can be bought in other capacities such as 2GB, 4GB, 8GB etc, but these can be expensive. If you going to be keeping lots of pictures and music on your mobile you might want to consider the big memory cards.
---If you want to get more out of the M2 card...

SUPER SONIC SONY VAIO NR10 LAPTOP
Review of Sony VAIO NR10E/S - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
donovan74
Advantages: DVD R/W, HIGH QUALITY, BEAUTY, GREAT VALUE
Disadvantages: DOES NOT MAKE COFFEE
...INTRO
I've been using Laptops now for around ten years and must say they are improving beyond belief in every way. I've owned many brands of Laptops that include Dell, Compact, IBM, HP and a Toshiba (most recent), I have always loved the Laptop concept and will now review my new beloved Sony Vaio NR10 Laptop.
LOOKING FOR A NEW LAPTOP
As with any other products on today's markets there is usually stiff competition and as far as Computers go it's more competitive now than ever. I began to look for a new Laptop last month in the January sales, which is the best time in my opinion as there's often big mark downs on prices and bargains to be had. Now the funny thing is I've always been a big Sony fan in every way (especially Sony Trintron TV''s) but never owned a Sony Computer or Laptop, so Sony was at the top of my list...

SONY VAIO - A stunning machine
Review of Sony VAIO PCV-RS122 - P4 2.4 GHz by
gusgusrule
Advantages: Fast, loads of storage, superb looking design
Disadvantages: Expensive
...Every three or four years I tend to browse for a new computer, I think its a suitable amount of time after which to renew a computer, as not only has new technology been introduced but it also come down in price slightly. I purchased this new Sony Vaio PCV RS122 in October of 2003. Before I got it, I had a Packard Bell. It was an older model with a 6 gb harddrive and about 96 MB ram, just to familiarise you with what I was coming from and for you to realise how impressed I was with the spec of this new machine from Sony. I made my purchase as part of a package and had it home within hours.
To start with I'll give a quick introduction to the specification. Its a 2.4Ghz Pentium 4 processor, and thus very fast, with 512MB RAM and an 80Gb hard drive. Its a cool unit finished in silver and makes the perfect addition to the home...

Sony MZN 710 MiniDisc Player.
Review of Sony MZN710 Net MD portable MiniDisc recorder by
dottymardon
Advantages: Small, Compact, Looks great and its a Sony
Disadvantages: Low earphone volume
...different discs and retrieve these settings automatically for you whenever you insert one of the recognized discs. However to enable this function, you must perform a simple service menu hack, described at the bottom of this review.)
The N710 is also capable of making recordings from either a microphone (not included) or by using the optical line input. There is no analog input however.
To record onto MiniDisc, the unit uses Sony's most recent and most sophisticated compression algorithm (at least until the release of the new HiMD format) called ATRAC Type-S, which at its highest fidelity setting is virtually indiscriminable from CD.
At the maximum quality (SP mode), you can fit about 74 minutes worth of music on a single disc (or 80 minutes on a somewhat larger disc). It may be because of my slightly ageing ears, but I must admit...

MY SONY WIRELESS HEADPHONES. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
Review of Sony Mdrrf 815K by
donovan74
Advantages: WIRELESS. SONY. LIGHTWEIGHT
Disadvantages: MIGHT MAKE YOU DEAF
...LOOKING FOR SOME HEADPHONES
Two years ago I was looking around for some decent headphones to replace my old Technics (which went beyond sellotape repair).
At the time I had no interest in wireless headphones as I thought it would not deliever the same bass response or clarity as the conventional corded plug-in headphones. So after browsing up and down the High Street I came across two types of wireless headphones (Philips and Sony) in Dixons and decided to try them both out.
The Philips unit was good for the sound but a bit clumsy whilst wearing it on my head (looked like a cyberman from Dr Who) which left me with the Sony MDRRF 815K. The first thing I noticed about the Sony headphones was that it was a lot more compact and lightweight compared with the bulky Philips and also upon listening to the headphones whilst in Dixons...
