Sony DAV-SA30...Fabulous...
Review of Sony DAV-SA 30 by
alfantastic
Advantages: It's a Sony, beautifully made, great picture and sound
Disadvantages: If you're after huge volumes, look elsewhere
...My old separates home cinema system was getting increasingly more and more reluctant to play certain discs, so i decided that it was time to part company and buy something a little more modern. A system that would have all the latest features that my old one was missing. Features such as Pro-logic 2 and Super Audio CD capabilities.
The Sony DAV-SA30 can pretty much play any disc that you throw at it, apart from SVCD. Recordable and Re-Writable discs play with no problem whatsoever. The choice of Dolby Digital and DTS are included too.
I purchased mine from Techtronics, who delivered it with their multi region upgrade fitted for a very reasonable price of £249.
The system comprises of the main unit, silver in colour with a mirror finish fascia. Five silver cubed surround speakers (2 front, 1 centre, 2 rear) and 1 silver sub woofer box...

Sony U-30, only small, but very good.
Review of Sony Cyber-shot U DSC-U30 by
huzi8
Advantages: Very small, quick to start up, automatic settings
Disadvantages: No zoom.
...I have a larger digital camera which takes really good pictures, but its size makes it a little difficult to carry around. This seemed the perfect solution. It is very small and can easily fit in your pocket.
It may only be a 2M pixel camera but I was suprised at the quality of the pictures. Prints at 6x4 come out really well, you can hardly tell that it was taken by a digital camera.
Most of the settings are automatic, which makes it really easy to take pictures in most conditions. But it also has enough manual settings to play around with. It also has a really good flash.
I use a 128MB memory stick and am able to get about 250 pictures on it. The camera can also take Sony memery stick pro, which can be up to 1GB in size. If you had one of those you could take about 2500 pictures.
Because of it's size Sony had to trim...

Fantastic tiny digital camera from Sony
Review of Sony Cyber-shot U DSC-U30/H by
quininho
Advantages: Small, great pics, easy to use
Disadvantages: No zoom, AA Batteries
...Having written a review on the Sony DSC-T70 and mentioned that my love of the Cybershot range started with this camera, I thought it only fair to justify this statement with a review. Behold the Sony Cybershot DSC-U30, successor to the U10 and U20. I actually bought this camera off a friend in June 2004 and paid him £80 plus a chauffeured journey from London to Gatwick (so about the equivalent of £100). This was one of the finest £100 I ever spent. The model is available in Silver, grey, blue or gold. I had a grey one.
I was off travelling round the world and needed a camera to capture my memories. This camera was perfect for this exercise as it was so small and compact. I was able to take it with me to places that I simply could not have used a bigger camera. I know cameras are small these days but this 2.5(w)x1(d)x1(h...

SJ30 excellent for the price
Review of Sony CLIÉ PEG-SJ30 by
ewal
Advantages: Small, Compact, Lightwieght, clear screen
Disadvantages: none i can think of
...The SJ30, is an excellent PDA for the beginer. It is extremely functional, and easy to use. For the price? Excellent.
The sony PDA is very small and light wieght, fits easily into any pocket. It comes with palm OS, which includes, paint calander adress book, to do list, memo pad and many more. There are many web sites available to down load more software programmes and games from.
It comes with software such as hotsync on a cd ready to install, which allows you to syncronise your work calander etc with the calander on your PDA.
The SJ30 has room for a memory stick, to down load information from your computer onto the PDA and back again. It doesn't have an MP3 player in it, but you can buy an audio adapter and headphone set, so you can down load your favorite music.
There are lots of accessories that you can get for this PDA...
