...Having written a review on the Sony DSC-T70 and mentioned that my love of the Cybershot range started with this camera, I thought it only fair to justify this statement with a review. I actually bought this camera off a friend in June 2004 and paid him £80 plus a chauffeured journey from London to Gatwick (so about the equivalent of £100). Advantages: It's a Sony, beautifully made, great picture and sound
Disadvantages: If you're after huge volumes, look elsewhere

...My old separates home cinema system was getting increasingly more and more reluctant to play certain discs, so i decided that it was time to part company and buy something a little more modern. A system that would have all the latest features that my old one was missing. Features such as Pro-logic 2 and Super Audio CD capabilities. The Sony DAV-SA30 can pretty much play any disc that you throw at it, apart from SVCD. Recordable and Re-Writable discs play with no problem whatsoever. The choice of Dolby Digital and DTS are included too. I purchased mine from Techtronics, who delivered it with their multi region upgrade fitted for a very reasonable price of £249. ...flash memory the same as the iPod range of products, allowing for a smaller unit size as opposed to the larger traditional hard-disk technology found on larger units. This product is very slim as it is marketed as a direct competitor to the iPod nano range. The product is slightly slimmer than the ipod nano and has a screen that is larger than the iPods with 2 inches for the Sony and only 1.5 inches for the iPod. The Sony is more expensive than the iPod by about £20-£30 so a larger screen is a good selling point to account for the bigger price tag. The screen quality is excellent and a big improvement on that of the iPod. You do have the option of video playback but this novelty soon wears off as watching such a small screen is not practical for long periods of time. ...I have a larger digital camera which takes really good pictures, but its size makes it a little difficult to carry around. This seemed the perfect solution. It is very small and can easily fit in your pocket. It may only be a 2M pixel camera but I was suprised at the quality of the pictures. Prints at 6x4 come out really well, you can hardly tell that it was taken by a digital camera. Most of the settings are automatic, which makes it really easy to take pictures in most conditions. But it also has enough manual settings to play around with. It also has a really good flash. I use a 128MB memory stick and am able to get about 250 pictures on it. The camera can also take Sony memery stick pro, which can be up to 1GB in size. If you had one of those you could take about 2500 pictures. Because of it's size Sony had to trim... Read review

...Every three or four years I tend to browse for a new computer, I think its a suitable amount of time after which to renew a computer, as not only has new technology been introduced but it also come down in price slightly. I purchased this new Sony Vaio PCV RS122 in October of 2003. Before I got it, I had a Packard Bell. It was an older model with a 6 gb harddrive and about 96 MB ram, just to familiarise you with what I was coming from and for you to realise how impressed I was with the spec of this new machine from Sony. I made my purchase as part of a package and had it home within hours. To start with I'll give a quick introduction to the specification. I purchased by new Sony TV from a regional electrical wholesaler called Bennets, who have branches in East Anglia and London. I paid a not-insignficant £799 about 2 months ago. What you get for your money is a very big, very heavy box, for which you'll need quite a large car to take it home. Luckily I used the Saab and not the Megane for this job! If you are going to pick it up yourself as opposed to having it delivered, make sure there's more than one of you to help - believe me it's very heavy and you definitely wouldn't want to drop it! I managed it on my own, but my arms were a good four inches longer by the time I had finished. Getting it out of the box is also a two person job, and as usual you'll have to wiggle it out gently and have someone hold... Read review

...The Sony Ericsson X1 is the first in the new range of Xperia products by Sony Ericsson. Although the product isn't released until 30th September 2008, I have had the pleasure to use one of the pre-production models for around two weeks. Whilst there are improvements on the launch model, I am confident that the pre-production model has given me an insight in to what to expect from this handset. The X1 is the first, and possibly the last Sony Ericsson handset to use the Windows as an operating system. It uses Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Sony Ericsson have not yet commented on whether the handset can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 7, however it doesn't seem they plan to release any further Windows based handsets. ...Great news, my hubbie has had a promotion at work!! Bad news he is spending more time in luxury hotels than home! Now, in some ways this is not all that bad – I have peace and quiet, time to do my own thing, major pampering sessions and long chats with my friends! The down side is, the bed is always cold, and I get bored at night. ‘Don’t worry’ says my hubbie (in his most caring of voices), ‘I’ll buy you a hot water bottle and a TV for the bedroom’. So, that was that. Off he went to Dixons. He returned about an hour later with a portable TV. Not just any portable TV I might add, but a Sony Trinitron 14 inch flat screen.
