...) is a brilliant feature to this Laptop as it now allows me to record/download pictures, films, and music from the internet, not forgetting that the playback on the Sony Vaio NR10 is exceptional with its Stereo speakers (better than the Dell). The Sony Vaio is also a much better looking Laptop than most I'd come across during my visits to the High St, it also has a lovely feel to it, not forgetting at 2.8kg in weight it's lightweight (streamlined) enough to take anywhere you wish. Most modern Laptops now have WI-FI, which allows you to use the machine's without the need of a telephone cable, this and a 2hr rechargeable battery unit is yet another great plus to the Sony Vaio NR10 specifications. If that were not so, I would imagine Sony's repairs department would be knee deep in new Vaios and third party vendors such as Kingston would not be advertising RAM for these machines. Advantages: Build quality, speed and screen
Disadvantages: Not so great graphics, No DVI

..., but seeing as the only real competition with this screen size is the Dell; the Sony would win (if money is no object). The Dell still creaks when you lift it up and feels much more plastic-y. Also I would choose to have 4GB of RAM if I had the choice as if you play games or run intensive graphics applications the graphics card sucks up a LOT of the remaining RAM. Will be an upgrade that I myself strongly consider purchasing (although not direct from Sony!). Comfort & Portability 13.3", ~4lbs and less than an inch thin at the front (it gets slightly fatter at the back - but this works well as it puts a slight tint on the keyboard). Screen is very very clear, best I've seen and is also the brightest I've seen. Thumbs up! Will fit inside any backpack or suitcase EASILY. ..., the reply told me that they had none in sotck, and wouldn’t for at least EIGHT WEEKS!! Why didn't it say this on the site!! I got all the way to the checkout, and wasn’t told!!! The products here are cheaper, but that small oversight has cost them my custom!! Back to Tottenham Court Road it is!! Or so I thought!!! IT GETS BETTER! Within a few days of writing the above opinion, I received an e-mail from a bigwig down at be-direct explaining their situation with reticent suppliers. SO, I hereby apologise for blaming them. It's Sony that's at fault for my long wait, and I will happily wait to purchase the md player from them!! The best thing about Be-direct.com is that they seem to BE DIRECT!! Advantages: Excellent pictures and the ofcourse equiped with the image stabilizing technology.
Disadvantages: Proprietary batteries and not surpisingly the "red eye problems".
