Speed Four Review From An Owner
Review of Triumph Speed Four by
yackers1
Advantages: Great performance, great brakes, excellent value, individual and rare
Disadvantages: Lack of aftermarket parts, expensive parts
...I noted that there are no reviews from an actual owner so I thought that I had better write one to inform what the Speed Four is like to live with on a long term basis.
Before I bought a Speed Four I spent hours and hours looking for honest reviews, road tests etc. There aren't that many around and whilst most were very informative I could not find any bad points about the Speed Four. In order to get a balanced view I like to know what problems I could face with the bike. After owning a Speed Four I now know why I could not find bad points.... I am still looking for them after a year of untroubled biking.
I won't bother detailing all the technical specs since these can be obtained from other websites.
Up until I got my Speed Four I had always been a fan of fully faired out and out sports bikes, and these were all I had ever...

The Need For Speed
Review of Speed Cameras by
Kkaos
Advantages: They promote safety and do slow some people, even if only temporarily
Disadvantages: They don't catch the real speeders, cause they know where they are and slow for the camera
....
For example, although I usually stick strictly to 30mph limits, I admit to driving between 30-40mph on the road that my house is on which is a 30 limit on the edge of a town. The houses are set back off the road with a wide verge, so you can see dangers well before you are on top of them. However, I was amazed at the surprise of 2 drivers when they had an accident outside our house which completely wrote off both vehicles... a four wheel drive monster and a large van. They had obviously been travelling at about 60mph (which many people do down this road) but didn't seem to think this was a problem!
It is this issue that I think should be addressed by speed cameras, the issue of people doubling the speed limit, both in towns where there is danger to pedestrians, especially children and domestic pets, and on motorways etc, where people flash...

Review of Fantastic Four by
Flash-Hammer
Advantages: Chiklis, Evans, Alba is gorgeous, never boring
Disadvantages: What the hell did they do to Doom? rather disappointing
...Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.
I have to admit that I didn't go into Fantastic Four with very high expectations. Out of it's 5 main stars, I could only really consider myself to be a fan, in some light, of at best 2 of them, I had never been all that avid a fan of the comics, and the fact that the iconic villain Dr. Doom was having his origin screwed around with really wasn't sitting well in my head, but the promise of Jessica Alba in a skintight outfit on a boring day inspired me to venture into the cinema, praying that it would at least be better than Daredevil.
For those who are unaware of the origins of Marvel Comics longest running superhero team, they were a 4 man group of astronauts lead by Scientist Reed Richards, his girlfriend Sue Storm, her younger brother Johnny and pilot...

Speed Kills
Review of Need for Speed 6 (PC) by
dead.letter
Advantages: An entertaining arcade racing game with expertly designed tracks, nice graphics and the unique Be a Cop mode.
Disadvantages: No damage, very limited interaction with surroundings, brainless bus drivers.
.... I take a shortcut off the road between two palm trees; the cops react too slowly, following the main road the other way. I got rid of them!
Just then I turn a sharp corner to see two police cars forming a roadblock. I turn in panic and manage to avoid them, but there is no way I could avoid the spike strip. I hear the sound of a wheel going -- four times. I lose control of the car and smash into the wall with full speed. Everything goes dark. When I regain consciousness, the cops have already surrounded my car and have me at gunpoint. I step out of the car, and a fat officer pins me to the road, cuffing my hands. The game is over.
I raise my eyes from the monitor and look at the clock: 2 AM. This is one hell of an addictive game.

I have the Need, the Need for Speed...ProStreet
Review of Need for Speed: ProStreet (PS3) by
tdholland
Advantages: Brilliantly realistic, many cars, superb graphics
Disadvantages: No map, slight let down in modding
...have to pay a lot to fix!! So you don't wanna be crashing all the time!! Especially not if you're driving the Lamborghini Murchialago, (I'm sure that's not how you spell it but we'll just move past that!) if you total this, you're looking at a hefty £150000 just to repair it!! So remember to stock up on repair markers!!
As I menioned before there are four main racing genres you need to master in ProStreet, Grip, Drag, Drift and Speed. But what I forgot to mention was that you can't use just one car for all these races. You need at least one car for each genre as each car needs to be specifically tuned to meet its racing needs. Which again adds to the overall realism of this game.
The grip races have changed dramatically since the last NFS, when you could drift wherever and whenever you like. Now you have to carefully plan your drifts...

Need For Speed: Don't Speed To The Shops
Review of Need for Speed: ProStreet (Wii) by
ljelliott1993
Advantages: Good Graphics, Great Gameplay
Disadvantages: Doesn't Follow the series of the other Need for Speed Games
...This is a rather different addition to the Need For Speed series as none of the races have the ability to drive around the cities as none of the races are in the city or on the streets as the others. For people that adore the previous editions which allowed you to different races on the streets will be disappointed by this edition. The general graphics and the sound quality is better than the previous games. But the fact that there is not the ability to drive around and test out he cars. there is still the ability to test all the cars out and then there is a more in depth customization area for the different parts that are edded on to the car. There is a ride range of places to race on the game though allowing a large variety. With four different game modes.

Need for Speed: Finally Totaled?
Review of Need for Speed: ProStreet (PC) by
nemesis2004
Advantages: Tons of cars, vast amount of upgrades and customisation
Disadvantages: Excessive advertising, Demanding, Unrealistic
... Need For Speed: Pro Street
Pro Street is the latest instalment of the highly popular, cross-platform racing series which has seen popularity amongst all gamers for its high speed police chases, wide variety of game modes and near limitless potential for customization. Following the success of Most Wanted and Carbon, which both flew off the shelves when they were released in 2005 and 2006 respectively, when the time came for EA Games to announce the latest in the series I was expecting them to sit tight and work with their tried and tested algorithm to produce another classic to stand proudly on my shelf. To say they've failed would be an understatement.
Gameplay
Perhaps the most distinctive change is that no longer are you expected to dodge traffic at 200mph whilst going the wrong way down the highway with a sea...

Top of my Christmas list 2004
Review of Triumph Speed Four by
dobieg
Advantages: Superb handling, performance by the bucketload
Disadvantages: Not ideal if you are under six foot high
...I've just *got* to have one of these! It might take a few months before I can persuade "'er indoors" to let me order one, but my mind is made up!
Every now and again, a manufacturer will manage to get everything just right, and this is about as good an example as I can think
'When I were a lad' a UK built bike was thought of as noisy, slow, probably handled OK, but otherwise a bit of an oddity, coupled with a reputation to be temperamental, and notoriously incontinent (the joke was, you could always tell where one had been parked by the big circle of oil on the road) these were for the lunatic fringe.
Those days are well and truly in the past, and apart from the handling, which if anything is even better than before, you can forget virtually everything else.
The 'Triumph speed four' didn't just appear one day out of the blue...

FourPlay
Review of Connect Four by
polydeuces
Advantages: Easy to play and understand
Disadvantages: Can be a little repetitive
...The game Connect 4 is one of the simplest there is and can be played by young children and importantly can be played against adults on a relatively equal basis. The game has been developed for the computer now as a solitaire type game and its quick simple format means as soon as you have finished one game you can get one with another.
The game is played in a frame of 6 squares by 6 squares. Each of the 2 players is allocated a colour and the players put one of the discs into the frame alternately. Usually the colours are yellow and red. The objective is to have four of your discs in a line vertically, horizontally or diagonally. As you play alternately you need to watch how your opponent puts their discs in and by the placement of your own either try to bock their attempts to get four in a row whilst also developing opportunities...

Need For Speed : Underground
Review of Need For Speed Underground (Gamecube) by
thespurs
Advantages: Graphics, Playability, Different Modes
Disadvantages: None
...INTRODUCTION
This is yet another fantastic racing game that has been released for the Nintendo Gamecube. Many of the better computer games aren't released on the Gamecube platform, both Burnout 2 and this game Need For Speed: Underground are both available on the Cube. I had purchased this game pretty much as soon as it had been released because I was excited by all of the hype that surrounded its release.
EA GAMES
The game, along with the rest of the Need For Speed collection, is produced by Electronic Arts. They are the company responsible for other games such as the FIFA Football games, The Sims collection and also Medal of Honour games. They have a proven pedigree of producing top quality games and have therefore gained a huge amount of respect in the computer gaming world.
