...We've all heard of the 'Brigitte Bardot made famous' resort of St Tropez. I've been holidaying in the south of France for over five years now but haven't been to St Tropez since my first ever trip to that neck of the woods. So, this year seemed a good time to check out the changes, if any, to see how the resort had improved or deteriorated. Sadly, the very impression one gets of St Tropez is a huge reluctance on the part of the town to welcome visitors, despite the huge amounts of Frances they will spend whilst sightseeing. The road system into St Tropez, the only way in unless you own a boat or helicopter, and some do, is unchanged to any noticeable degree. Not only is is unchanged directionally or physically, it has no proper traffic control systems on it either. This leads to huge raffic queues to get in, and huge traffic queues... Read review

Advantages: Everything is so.. happy and beautifull
Disadvantages: There are always loads of people. Sometimes this is an advantage though.

...St. Tropez, A town in the south of France where its a paradise for young people who want to go out at night and have loads of fun shopping and going to the beach at day time. The harbor for instance is one of the places you have to go. There are loads of very nice and big boats which are the best! St. Tropez is a very rich town where many rich people live their luxe life. Its a very "warm" town where there are so many things to do. I have been there for 2 weeks in a appartment with my brother and we had so much fun. For older people its also fun because there so many beatifull sight seeings and other fun things to do. In the summer at night their are always parades and little bands on the street. Advantages: Protects hands/nails efficiently
Disadvantages: Only ever seen small size in shops

...For the perfect fake tan, you need to use gloves to stop your hands going orange which is a big giveaway your tan is not real! St Tropez sells a pack of 5 pairs of latex gloves for £2.25 so its a bit of a bargain. They are supposed to come in three sizes; small, medium and large. However I am a bit of a fake tanning queen and regularly buy these gloves which are sold in boots and department stores like Allders etc, but I have only ever come accross the small pairs. I am convinced nobody stocks larger sizes. They are a bit of a tight squeeze but do the job perfectly and you can't really complain for £2.25. They also have talcum powder in them to make putting them on easier anyway. Can be used with any fake tan, not necessarily st tropez and can be used a few times before throwing them away. ...Until last year, I used this product all the time and it was fab - I could just slap it on before I went out for an instant colour, and it would go darker over the hours. However, recently they must have changed it or something, as it comes out this horrid grey colour and leaves you looking like a dirty corpse! Rest assured though, it does develop nicely over a few hours - it's just disappointing for a product that claims you can apply it anytime, anywhere. I did write to St. Tropez to find out why this was, but was told that the trace colour can vary. I am a diehard St Tropez fan, and love the lotion version of the instant tan. My only use for the mousse in the past was when I didn't have the time to wait for the lotion to develop. Advantages: The streak free tanning effect and very advatageous as you can see where you are putting the product
Disadvantages: Drys very fast which can sometimes be too fast to keep up with and can cause streaks if not fast enough

...I have used the St Tropez bronzing mist and have found it to be the best tanning prduct that I have ultimatley used to date. I have used many tanning products from products such as Le Tan and nutrogenas version of a fake tan and before trying the Jungle Bronze self tanner and it was also very good but this St Tropez Bronzer is even 100 times better. I now have all my friends using it, It does not leave you with that horrible smell that most self tanners do and is really easy to apply with the advantage of being tinted so you can see exactly where you are placing it on your body and get the perfect "natural looking" tan, and no sun cancer needed. Basically I exfoliate and moisturise about half an hour before using it I then use gloves to buy the product, and you can use any decent gloves, moisturiser and gloves. I have not tried the St... ...I have tried many Self Tan products over the past couple of years and had heard that St Tropez was good in many reviews, magazines and from friend's that have used the product themselves, so I thought I had better give it ago. I find using a foam self tan easier than some of the spray versions out in the market. St Tropez gives you a lovely, instant colour which is subtle, so you don't look like you have been rolling around in the mud and you get an instant glow whilst your tan is developing. Another advantage of the tint in this lotion, as it allows you to see where you have applied the lotion, which in turn helps prevent streaks. I would definitely recommend using gloves or a sponge whilst applying this product as the tint in the lotion can be difficult to remove from the palms of your hands. ...Now, I hate to be the only person in the world to find fault with this product, but I can't resist! St.Tropez, the self-tan of self-tanners, the be-all and end-all, the self-tan of Posh and Cat Deeley alike. Heaven in a bottle, surely? Not really, no. I was drawn to St Tropez after having experienced so many mishaps with cheaper, supposedly inferior brands. Most people have been there; I must have tried at least 10 other products, different brands, different textures and styles. I tried mousses, sprays, lotions, and tissues. I used dark, medium, light, and extra light. The prices varied from 99p to £10, but alas, nothing worked. I felt doomed to be pale and interesting forever more. ...St Tropez Whipped Bronze Mousse seems like a brilliant product. After all, St Tropez tanning products are said to be the stars' favourite. 'Streakless, Instant Colour' the bottle screams. Here's what happened when I decided to give the tan a test-run on my legs. APPLICATION I found it quite difficult to apply this tanning mousse. I exfoliated beforehand, and moisturised, especially my feet and knees. I then laid down a large towel, to avoid carpet stains, and popped on the disposable gloves I had bought. I applied the mousse in even strokes, taking care not to miss any parts. The guide colour turned out a mucky green/brown colour, and did look very frightening at first. The product does dry very quickly, so I was able to hop into bed less than ten minutes later. THE MORNING AFTER The instructions tell you to wait at least four... Read review

...St Tropez, I have to say is the queen of all the fake tans. Alot of research and work has gone into formulating this lotion and it shows. It is the only one on the Market that I have found which disguises stretchmarks and other blemishes. Here are three more reasons why it's so good: Firstly the Lotion contains aloe vera, which helps the skin absorb the lotion, taking it deep into the epidermis resulting in a very natural tan. This also eliminates the need to rub the tan in - it is better to gently stroke it onto the skin, this teqnique can be hard to master at first but you'll soon get to grips with it. Secondly it contains a guide colour - a light brown colour which is a vegetable dye so that you can actually to see where you are putting the stuff. There are 3 stages to applying the St. Tropez tan itself. For optimum and the most natural looking tan it really is essential to follow all 3 stages.
