Considering the problems I encountered installing and setting up BT Broadband on my new computer using Windows XP I should in hindsight have left well alone, but my partner was so impressed with the speedy broadband connection and my new computer that he immediately bought himself a new computer as he wanted to join in the fun. ...Voyager may have stopped production now, but how does the 4th series with the great Star Trek name comapre? Based on a new spaceship design, the intrepid class 'Voyager' (NCC 74656) is the pride of Starfleet, until it disappears that is. After a battle Voyager finds itself flung 70,000 light years across the galaxy to the Delta Quadrant, with the only way to get home is a 70 year trip through space. So they set off on their journey, and naturally meet a whole host of creatures and cultures on the way. (And just in case anyone cares, the maximum speed warp is 9.975). Of course, the fact that Voyager is stranded in un-charted space mean that the script writers have an open book. They are not bounded by rules that would come with the well known space that the Federation, klingons etc inhabit. New aliens could be created for the show... Read review

...VIRGIN VOYAGER My latest journey to Birmingham New Street on the Virgin Voyager cost £62 return. I departed on the 7:29 “cross country” train from Preston in Lancashire. Preston and Birmingham are on many of the “cross country” train routes which make up one of the national franchises which were awarded following rail privatisation. The Voyager train was intended to upgrade “cross country” travel when introduced earlier in the noughties. Although its operating speed matched the existing 125 mph of the existing ageing virgin fleet, these were modern trains with better acceleration and more comfortable facilities on board. Whenever, I have travelled on the Voyager I have found them generally comfortable, although they did seem to go through a phase of overcrowding a few years ago. ...When we signed up for AOL Broadband we were told that a modem would, naturally, be included as part of the package. The modem that we received was a BT Voyager 100. The BT Voyager 100 is small and compact and -touch wood!- has never given us any cause for concern. Hooking it up is very easy. Hey. If I can do it, so can almost anyone else! You plug a blue cable into the USB port on the modem. The yellow cable is then plugged into the BT ADSL MF50 line box which is plugged into the phone point. You load the software into the computer, and you are well away, as the saying goes. With AOL the setting up process regarding the modem is virtually automatic so should not present you with any problems whatsoever. The BT Voyager 100 is light in weight and, as I said before, compact in size and dimensions. It is just under 4.5 inches... Read review
