...The Thomson PVR3 (Thomson 127K148) Is one of the Sky Plus Boxes which Retails from £99 - £199 + £30 Installation. the price depends on howlong you been with Sky, Your subcription etc The Thomson Sky Plus is widly used today. The Box comes Fitted with a 160GB Harddrive which enables you to recorded up to 80 - 120 Hours of TV. The problem is that sky has Locked the Other 80GB for Future services. So on Average you can get around 40 - 60 Hours of TV on your box. The Box is Bright White and has a LCD Type clock which Turns on if you are recording a Programme, Warching a recorded Progamme etc. The Box can also store up to 90 Minutes of TV so you can rewide or Pause Live TV if you want to or if something Happens. ...I have flown with Thomsonfly on numerous occaisions. The flights are comfortable and the crew are pleasant. On my return from the Canary Islands, I noticed one of the stewards ducking his head to avoid the screens situated down the middle of the aircraft. Unfortunately, he forgot to duck and knocked himself out and was unconsious on the floor in the galley. This was disturbing for some of the passengers but the situation was dealt with by the rest of the crew. Some airlines have to hand in and record any items left on the aircraft which is normally dealt with by the cleaners but unfortunately, Thomson's don't do this, their crew check seat pockets etc. My daughter left a rather expensive item in the back of the seat and was dishonestly claimed by whichever member of staff found it. ...Thomson had stated that they had taken all necessary steps to point out the policies terms, conditions and exclusions. Some insurers will go back five years through your medical records at your G.P to find evidence in order to counteract your claim. I have read of one poor man who was forced to cancel due to suffering a stroke, having his claim refused because he had reported he suffered from headaches to his G.P prior to booking his holiday. The doctor suggested maybe it was stress related and to take a rest. The insurer claimed his headaches were a pre-curser to his stroke and as he had not mentioned these on his form, his claim was refused. You will also find that all of your current prescribed medication needs to be formerly declared. ...I bought this camcorder 2 years ago in Argos for £270. It was reduced from £300 from what I remember. I didn't have much money and spent all my savings on my first camcorder. I was really pleased and I could finally film my horse and pets to have memories when they pass on.... but I thought this camcorder would last me a few years not less than 2!!! Try to call Thomson for help and they told me I might as well bin it and get a new one!!!!! The camcorder itself is nice, quite light, very easy to use. you can take still photos on a separate memory card. It has a LCD screen and night light and records on Mini-DV. The battery life is rather poor and it becomes a pain when going to film an event as need to find somewhere to recharge it. I also found it hard to figure out how to transfer videos onto my PC whereas my friend's JVC is really... Read review

...I have had a Thomson DHD4000 for about 8 months now - when it arrived, it took only 10 minutes to set up. It gives an excellent picture, and sound - even when recordings are in long play mode (higher compression to take up less space on disk). The unit features dual tuners, a 40GB HDD, 2 week channel guides, archive facility and great picture and audio quality. There are two scart sockets, S Video, and stereo audio out on the back. So anyway, back to the setup. The manual is short, but clear enough to make the initial setup quick and easy. Although the manual is short, there is a lot of community support on the DVR / PVR forums. Finding transmitters and tuning channels can all be done automatically. You may also manually tune to certain transmitters if you need to. You will be able to record programmes immediately if you set up timed... Read review
