Albarracin
Review of Zaragoza (Spain) by
Aurea
Advantages: Beauty, nature, peace
Disadvantages: there isn't a good bus service
...Well, really this opinion isn't about Zaragoza- but I will write one- but about a nice town that is between Zaragoza and Teruel. Zaragoza's land are 3 regions: Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel and I am going to write about this last: Teruel.
First, I am going to talk about Albarracín and, after, I am going to talk about Teruel. Both are so nice and ideal for to spend a good weekend or a relaxing holidays.
Near Teruel there is Albarracín, one of the most beautiful Spanish towns. As Morella- in Castellón- and Santillana del Mar- in Santander-, Albarracín is a Middle Age town full of narrow streets and houses from XIV, XV, XVI, and XVII Centuries.
Walk by Albarracín's streets is a true present for your eyes, because you can find a nice house or an interesting place in every corner. All those streets are full of History and you can feel you...

Weston-super-Mud
Review of Weston in General by
tendril-
Advantages: Lots of B&B's to stay at...
Disadvantages: Lack of things to do, Disgusting sea water, Hardly any nice beach...
...- there are always fights and I have witnessed or been involved in several despite trying my best to avoid them. There are a couple of very small nightclubs and they are horrible! There is almost no alternative scene at all and the town is taken over mostly by morons at night.
The sea water in Weston is literally Brown. And what can i say about the 'beach'. It is mostly mud? Yes i think that describes it nicely...
To sum Weston-super-Mare up: it is a small version of Blackpool without the funfair, the half-decent clubs or the reasonable sea water! The British sea side does have a stigma attached to it, and that is when we are talking about the best places. Weston is amongst the worst. I sincerely reccommend you not go there!...

The non-communication Cafe
Review of The Sports Café by
disco-clare
Advantages: Not too smokey
Disadvantages: TVs on all the time. Expensive
...This is a bad idea for a bar. Take a fab location - on route from the Uni to town, right next to the hotel where most of the uni balls are held and add, wait for it, TVs in every seating booth. Nooo. If I wanted to watch telly I'd have stayed at home. It's fine for when a big match is on but a major conversation stopper when you're all just out on town. And the it's joining the growing number of bars in Cardiff which think they're trendy and think they can elevate the prices to trendier (ie expensive) ones.
What they need here is more sports memorabilia to start talking points, or maybe some themed sport star cocktails to attract the pre-ball crowd in.
Sorry to disappoint but I prefer henrys and Brannigans across the road....

The lost town with its NEW attraction!!
Review of Haverhill in General by
dabmim
Advantages: Okay but nothing special
Disadvantages: No train station or hospital.
...Haverhill, is a medium sized town in Suffolk. Nestling on both the boundaries of Cambridgeshire and Essex, it is also just around 60 miles from the capital city of the England - London. It's sister town of Bury st Edmunds is just about 16 miles away, while the horse racing capital of Newmarket is a similar distance. The city of Cambridge is around 18 miles away. Essex is also very close; in fact you can walk within minutes to the Essex and Cambridgeshire borders - depending of course where you are in the town. A few miles up the road in a small village is the prison in which Myra Hindley is now staying "Highpoint". There is some lovely countryside around the town, which in itself is worth a visit.
The town has around 25,000 occupants (growing), many of whom commute between both Cambridge and London daily.
~~Fabulous New talking point...

Quirky but awesome
Review of Talking Heads: 77 - Talking Heads by
dave27
Advantages: A band on their way up
Disadvantages: Still being formed
...Talking Heads was one of the handful of American bands who were around at the same time as the new wave emerged in the UK in 76 and 77 who enjoyed credibility whilst still being musically competent.
Their debut album, Talking Heads: 77, was released in July 1977 to rave reviews. The band’s quirky, eccentric sound was captured on tracks like Uh-Oh, Love Comes To Town, which took an ambivalet look at romance, the haunting, Lou Reed like Happy Day and the song that was virtually to become their anthe, Psycho Killer. Also released as a single, Psycho Killer took Byrne’s jittery presence to its extreme: “I can’t seem to face up to the facts, I’m tense and nervous and I can’t relax, I can’t sleep because my bed’s on fire, don’t touch me I’m a real live wire...”
The album was an instant modern classic, selling well and firing the Heads...
