stay near London £39 for 4 people
Review of Holiday Inn Express, Hemel Hempstead by fionasdream

Advantages: economical base for visiting London
Disadvantages: limited restaurants near hotel

...Having lived in this area I can recommend the Holiday Inn Express at Hemel Hempstead an excellent base for staying while visiting London, without having to pay the London premiums. The train from Hemel Hempstead to London will take approx 20 mins. Having relocated from the South East to the North West we needed to make a long weekend break in the south to attend a family celebration. After searching about the web came across Holiday Inn Express at Apsley Lock, Hemel Hempstead, Herefordshire. STATIONERS PLACE, APSLEY LOCK HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, HP3 9RH UNITED KINGDOM 44-870-4585485 The were running a deal during July for a room with up to 4 people and including breakfast for £39. I have checked today and on their website www.ichotelsgroup.com they still have the same deal available in 100 hotels. (Hemel Hempstead is one of them... Read review

Marriott Hotel Peterborough
Review of Marriott Peterborough Hotel, Peterborough by kate44

Advantages: Clean & very comfortable, good location, nice food
Disadvantages: None

...We stayed at this Marriott Hotel in Peterborough for the night about a month ago now because we had been invited to a friends wedding there at the hotel. This hotel has 162 rooms and it is a 3 star hotel. The location is really tranquil and the hotel is surrounded by really nice pretty gardens and large green fields. We paid £90 for a double room and we got a discount for being guests at the wedding, i think breakfast is at a small extra cost but im not 100% sure so you would need to chack this. Its set within 11 acres or so of grounds adjacent to Peterborough's Main Business Park, we found this hotel really easy to find and very well signposted. We found the staff to be really friendly but extremely professional and helpful at all times. We got checked in really quickly and within 5 minuites we were in our room. The hotel has... Read review

Good night's sleep or your money back???
Review of Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista by KELLYLOUJ

Advantages: Cheap, Perfect Location
Disadvantages: Food and general hotel Services

...and comfortable and each day the maids made up the beds. In between the two beds was a bedside table with two fairly deep drawers in each drawer there was a yellow pages style directory ideal for getting in touch with a local business or restaurant. Stored above the unit on the wall were two bedside lights which were operated by a push switch, once would turn the lamp on the right hand side on, two clicks would turn the lamp on for the left and three clicks would turn both lamps on. On top of the unit was the telephone where local calls were free of charge which was great as we had a phone card to allow us to make international telephone calls rather than racking up a huge bill with the hotel. There was also a clock radio which was handy especially if you wanted to have an early start as most people do when visiting the parks. The room had great... Read review

Impressive, Illustrious Imperial!!
Review of The Imperial Hotel Blackpool, Blackpool by thebigc1690

Advantages: The whole experience.
Disadvantages: My stay was completely disadvantage free!

...the hotel to a few friends who have all taken my recommendation on board and been very glad they did. I plan to return myself this year and really am excited about it already. If you have booked for breakfasts, lunches, evening meals or all three or if you just decide to purchase them on occasions during your stay then you can rest assured that the choices of food and the quality of the food matches everything else the hotel has to offer. As well as the food being very good there is always lots of it, I am not the biggest eater and often found myself unable to finish what was put in front of me. If you are on an all inclusive as I was then I would suggest taking it easy with the breakfasts because you really do need to leave room for the large lunch and the massive and very delicious evening meals. The cost of buying drinks from the bar... Read review

Birthday Treat For me today with a Marriott stay!!
Review of Marriott Hotel, Waltham Abbey by izzoh

Advantages: Relaxed, Quiet, Clean.
Disadvantages: Middle of nowhere

...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! It was my birthday on Thursday and my partner and I always try and doe something special. Just a little getaway. Nothing extravagant. Last year I stayed at a Marriott for my birthday in Central London but this year we thought we would go for a little drive out of London to Waltham Abbey. It just borders the Woodlands of Epping Forest, and is just off the M25, M11 and the M1. So it was only about an hour journey from south east London but it did feel like I was off to the country!! There is not much in the surrounding area. A 10 minute drive takes you into town but trust me there is nothing there other then a fish and chip shop, Tescos and a couple of dental surgeries! I stayed on a Friday night and the room cost £99 (weekdays is £114 for the room only). I booked the hotel online via their website and had a special... Read review

Royal Horseguards Hotel
Review of Royal Horseguards, London by angelak

Advantages: Central location
Disadvantages: Price

...I stayed here last week for two nights - my boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves during the Easter break and manged to find a good deal through a hotel booking agency. It was a good deal too as the advertised rates start at £265 per night (not including breakfast) so my first tip is to shop around - we only paid about £100 a night for the room and got the full English breakfast included. We had opted for the "deluxe" room instead of the "standard" or "executive" although the hotel booking agency and the hotel's actual website were not very detailed about the differences between them. As far as I can tell now the "executive" is the top end room, the "deluxe" is a bed and a couple of chairs and the "standard" doesn't really exist... The hotel is located right across the river from the London Eye and around the corner from... Read review

Lovely Liverpool Lodgings!
Review of Campanile Hotel, Liverpool by dazzman

Advantages: Clean comfortable, cheap, good location
Disadvantages: poor selection of drinks in bar, low standard of service

...Hotel Campanile (a French chain) is now well established as a chain throughout the United Kingdom so when I was looking for a room at quite short notice in Liverpool I did not hesitate to reserve one here despite the fact that I had never stayed in one before. Of the chain hotels which came up when I searched on the internet, this was the cheapest and the excellent location meant that I did not have to compromise. The main shopping area is just a few minutes away and tourist attractions such as The Beatles Story, the Tate Liverpool and The Albert Dock are practically on the door-step. The Liverpool hotel is situated well-back from the main road which stretches along the rejuvenated docks area of the city. This means that you have the convenience of the location without any of the traffic noise. We arrived in the city by train... Read review

Review of Brooklands Hotel, Bournemouth by Jordon

Advantages: See review

...dinner which is all home cooked by their chef. The room I stayed in was room 29: The room is a perfect size, plenty of room either side of the bed. We had a dressing table, with mirror, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, Draw unit plus a bed side unit a combined TV/DVD player. En suite shower and toilet. You get provided with towels too. The Hotel is very clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff. They have various rooms including Double’s, Twin’s, Triple and Family rooms all with en-suite facilities. The Tariff depends on the time of year you are staying; it can be as little as £25.00 per person per night for bed & breakfast. Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am Check in time is from 2pm Check out time is 10am All in all, we had a wonderful stay I would go their again and again. The Hotel is a two minute walk to the beach... Read review
