...I was given a Russell Hobbs 11299 Uno Uno coffee-maker for Christmas. It was a completely unexpected gift. What was even more unexpected was just how good the coffee made by this machine is! The coffee-maker is sleek and attractively designed. It has a very small footprint and therefore takes up little workspace in the kitchen (or better still in my study!). It really looks the part. To set up is simplicity itself. You fill the easily removable water container on the back to the "maximum" line, refit the container and then switch on the machine with the button at the front. This pre-heats the water. You then select your uno uno coffee pod - 5 of the "Love at First Sip" pods come with the machine - open the lid and place the pod in the round receptacle inside. ...A friend gave me a gift the other day, it was Uno, she obviously thinks I don't have enough card based entertainment in my life. It wasn't however the first time I had seen these funny coloured cards. It was a firm family favourite during my younger years and often played sat around my Grandma's dining room table. On many a Sunday afternoon the shouts and cheers could be heard from Auntie Doreen's house 3 doors down. "For goodness sake Mum, how many times do we have to tell you the rules" was a favourite saying or "Grandma a 4 does not follow a 6". I personally think that my Gran knew full well how to play, she just couldn't be bothered and would rather play dumb, so that eventually she'd be asked to leave. ...The Uno achieved rave reviews in 1983 on it`s launch for its looks, all round abilities and tremendous engines which had a good mix of reliability, performance and economy. Inside the Uno offered space and outside the Uno offered some style. Having owned around 7 of these cars I can honestly say this is true - I don`t think the cars have dated too badly, particularly the Mk1 version - still quite chic, 20 years from its launch. The mark 2 was less stylish but offered a somewhat improved sense of quality and comfort. The 1.1 engine changed 3 times during the Uno`s career. 1 - the 1116cc engine lifted straight from the Fiat 128. This was a tried and tested unit very similar to the 1.3 version in the 70BHP Uno`s. ...First found this site after buying the Delongi Bar 40 espresso machine, checkout my review. The site is well setup and easy to navigate between pages. It has a page that tells you all about coffee pods to help you understand what a coffee pod is. One problem with coffee pods is which pods works with which machines, cafepods lists most brand coffee machine tells you what adapter you need if required and what size coffee pods you need to use. Even machines that were not originally setup to use coffee pods can be converted with an adapter. I bought an Uno Uno before my Delongi and soon found it impossible to buy coffee pods for this machine, hey presto cafepods had the solution, now a relative is using the Uno Uno with great success. With over 14 blends of coffee it should be easy to find a coffee you will like and to help you... Read review

...I have worked with children for the last few years, and have realised over the time, the one game none of the kids will tire of is Uno. Uno is a basic card game using the same principle as the game Whot did back in my day. The pack consists of four different colours, red, green, blue and yellow, each containing a number, nought through to nine. The rules state you play in a clockwise direction and have to match the last persons card with either the same number, or colour as was dealt. The idea of the game is to be the first to get rid of all your cards to be declared the winner. Sounds simple enough doesn't it but it wouldn't be very challenging without a few wild cards thrown in now would it. First off you have a x2 card. ...… it simply does this? If the light around the on switch begins to flash very fast you have run out of water before the coffee has finished being made, simply remove the water tank and refill. The UNO will then take off again from where it left off. *Water tank: This holds about enough water for 3 large cups or 4 small ones and the water released by the pressure system cooling drips back into this container. *Pods: Although UNO UNO pods can only be purchased from the website http://www.unounopods.com/pods.html it is very easy to by Senso, or Tesco’s own which fit into the holder very nicely and make a great cup of coffee too. Prices range from £1.89 - £2.99 depending on the coffee you buy. *Cleaning: The UNO is a mixture of plastic and metal and I have found white vinegar to be the key.
