A lovely young lady gave us both a booklet with prices and so on, and explained that we could use a voucher in the booklet next time we came for a £5 discount. She also gave us a loyalty card each (which in truth is an appointment card), which states that your 10th appointment is on the house! A quick goodbye from the designer and the receptionist and off we went. Both appointments lasted 45 minutes each so as you can tell they were pretty thorough. I will definitely go back again as I felt my needs were listened to, and the designer did a very good job on my hair. ...I have flown on US Airways once, and thoroughly enjoyed the transatlantic portion.I was less impressed with my domestic connecting flight. I chose them because it was a last minute trip, and they offered the best deal. I was flying to San Francisco, and I went from Manchester, as it's more convenient to me than their other British destination, Gatwick. The price was high for the last-minute trip in July, but lower than any others I could find, but there are bargain fares outside the tourist season. Like with most airlines, the best deals involve a Saturday night stay. With US Airways too, even the cheapest deals are flexible. You can change your return to anytime within 6 months, for a fee of $100. ...The fuel price debate is the biggest issue that has come into the Public spotlight since the poll tax. The issue affects every one regardless of whether they drive or not ? this was clearly evidenced during the recent fuel demonstrations when the country was brought to a virtual standstill by a bunch of peaceful lorry drivers and farmers. The issue has kindled opinions from all sectors of the public with the environmentalists saying the price of petrol is too low and the rest of us who can't believe how much we are paying, and how cheap it is in the rest of the world. Before I continue I must admit that whilst I do care my environment I am also a realist, with a family, and for me I have to drive to work as public transport/cycling are not viable alternatives for my commuting. ...Price-drop TV is addictive. Just like it's sister channel, bid TV, price-drop TV features entertaining presenters who would do almost anything to get you to buy their products. As I type this, the channel is selling a U.S. Marshall figurine. At the moment, the price for it is £80. When I finish the review, the price for the figurine will have been slashed. Straight away, PRICE PLUNGE!! And the price plummets to £16!! These savings (albeit on things you don't need) happen 17 hours a day, (8am - 1am next day) 365 days a year. All live. Yes, there are presenters who come into the studios (which are only 5 mins away from my house!) on Christmas Day. And there are people who buy from them on Christmas day! What makes price-drop TV different from the other shopping channels is dynamic pricing. The prices do not stay the same as they do... Read review

...Back home for the Easter Break from University, I decided that I was fed up of my old look and opted to go for a whole new image - well not really a whole overhaul - just a new haircut would do (I'm not that rich you know - I'm a student!) With this in mind I set my sister the task of finding us both a hairdresser as our old salon has closed down. Within minutes on the internet she had found the perfect place - Andrew Price. A quick phone call got us BOTH an appointment that same day - we rang at 9am and got the appointment for 12 - I thought this showed how very well they meet the customers wants and needs. ...to be allowed to use the electric bikes and jeeps that are on display. I have had several near misses from crazed, demonic 5 year olds let loose on said vehicles! The choice of toys within a childs pocket money range is ridiculous. They are cheap and nasty looking, but not cheap in price. Toys r Us is an ideal store to buy everything that you need under one roof, when you haven't got the kids with you! I must admit, that a lot of things that we purchase for our children for Christmas, is from Toys r Us (but I am anything for convenience!) We have experienced problems on several occasions were toys have been broken on returning home, or fail to work after about a week of use. On a good point though, whenever we have had to return the items to the store, we have always been refunded in full - whatever the problem. The staff... Read review

The other thing that bugs me about this place as well (oh lord he's on a roll) is the placement of the small toys, balloons and sweets at the checkouts (cue kids tantrums). This i expect from a supermarket, but for a company that says they understand parents and children, you would thing they would know better. The American versions of these stores (Toys'r'us, Babies'r'us and Kids'r'us) do not resort to such blatent tactics, and are much more pleasant stores for it. Not everything is that bad, most of the unbranded toys are still very reasonable and i do still shop there as the range is brilliant, but when it comes to branded toys and computer software i would stand on the side of caution and check the prices first....
