Reviews of victoria frances
Her name is Favole
Review of Favole 2 Set Me Free - Victoria Frances by
Sabrina2090
Advantages: beautiful writing and art
Disadvantages: you have to concentrate a bit harder
...As promised I am reviewing the second Favole book, Set me free. The book is written by Victoria Frances. She was born in Spain in 1982 and spent most of her childhood in forests. She thn travelled to large cities like London and Paris. Here her love of Gothic Romanticism took flight and she began drawing. She produced all the art for this book.
Set me free has the same layout as the first book. There is an introduction written by Frances which sets the scene but also conveys her personality as It doesn't completely fit with the story.
Then there is a foreword, which like in the first book, tells us of Ezequiel. This time however it laments to how he has lost Favole and yearns for her love again.
There are three stories again but these have more flow than the 3 stories on the first book. They are about the people Favole meets...

'An ode to Gothic romanticism'
Review of Favole: Stone Tears - Victoria Frances by
Sabrina2090
Advantages: Beautiful, amazing art, wonderful writing
Disadvantages: long words
...Favole: Stone Tears is a book written by Victoria Frances. She was born in Spain in 1982 and spent most of her childhood in forests. She thn travelled to large cities like London and Paris. Here her love of Gothic Romanticism took flight and she began drawing. She produced all the art for this book.
The book itself follows Ezequiel the vampire knight and the memories of the beautiful maidens he has released. There are three short stories. I will try not to give the whole of it away.
1. Virgins of the lake - This story is about Lavernne who's father was killed in the crusades. She becomes an orphan but she cannot bear it so she goes to the lake. Other orphans follow her.
2. Angels of silence - Marquise enthrals Ezequiel with the sorrow songs of her red violin. She is in love with a statue in the graveyard and asks Ezequiel...

Visit Space and Under the Sea at Fort Victoria
Review of Fort Victoria, Isle of Wight by
amytheduck
Advantages: A variety of attractions, something for all
Disadvantages: Individual entrance prices to each attraction soon build up
...Fort Victoria is one of those places that makes a great day out. It is, like most of the places I've been reviewing lately, on the Isle of Wight, and I have visited several times over the years. The most recent visit was 2005, however I think I can remember enough to be able to write this review!
**About Fort Victoria & Location**
Fort Victoria Country Park, to give it its proper name, is located on the western side of the Isle of Wight, in Yarmouth. It's located right at the point where the Island is closest to the mainland, and if you stand out near the sea at the back of Fort Victoria, you can look across the Solent to Hurst Castle, and it looks incredibly close. The actual Fort was built in the 1850s, and was a single tier battery. It was later used as a submarine mining centre, and a training area for the military...

Victoria - A Real Gem of a Place
Review of Victoria (Canada) by
aliree
Advantages: Clean, safe and compact
Disadvantages: It's a long way from England
...Call me biased, hey, call me what you like, but I love Victoria, in BC, Canada. I would go so far as to say it is one of my favourite cities in the world. I ended my honeymoon there in August 2004, having flown in to Calgary and travelled across the Rockies to Vancouver. That was my third trip to Victoria and it didn't disappoint me.
I first visited Victoria in 1978 and stayed for 5 weeks. Next was 1994 for just under 3 weeks and then 5 days at the end of my honeymoon. I think my holiday memories from 1978 have had a huge influence on my love of the place. Each visit has just confirmed my feelings though.
So, where is it? Victoria is on the south east tip of Vancouver Island, on the west coast of Canada. The island is 276 miles long and averages 48 miles wide. Being in quite a sheltered spot it has quite a moderate...

Learning to fly by Victoria Beckham
Review of Learning to Fly - Victoria Beckham by
Rachael-X
Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Some parts can be sad
...About the book:
The book begins with Victoria's years at school and how she had trouble fitting in. Victoria knew what she wanted to do when she was older, to become famous so she begged her mum to let her got to dance classes.
She tells us how she was one od the worst dancers at the dance school she went to and always ended up at the back and because of this she suffered grief from the teachers.
Victoria gives us an insight to the years of being with the spice girls and how they rised to fame. Victoria had the determination to make this successfull. She tells us how they could be in a few different countries in a day.
Victoria then goes into talking about her life with David Beckham, when and how they met and why they had to be secretive from the Manchester united boss, who David was playing for then and from the spice camp...

victoria center nottingham
Review of Victoria Centre, Nottingham by
jonnylove
Advantages: good parking and central to city center
Disadvantages: can get very busy and no good places to eat
...the victoria center has everything you need under one roof unless you want to get something to eat
then your going to struggle as there are no large resturants only a couple of small cafes which get very busy luckily enough there are plenty of places to eat outside the center.
The victoria center itself has a a bit of a revamp in the last couple of years as it was starting to get a bit dingy and dated but now has a bright and cool atmosphere.towards the back of the victoria center is a large carpark which only gets full on the busiest of days.
If you come into the victoria center through the main entrance you will see shops like Dixons,Jessops, boots, next, the gapand a couple of other stores there is also a large water clock which plays music and has figures that dance around on the hour as you walk through the center...

Excellent book about the real victoria beckham
Review of Learning to Fly - Victoria Beckham by
loulou81
Advantages: Excellent book which is hard to put down.
Disadvantages: The book finished suddenly.
...Whenever someone mentioned Victoria Beckham's in the paper again or on the news i always replied hasn't she got enough attention or enough money! It was jeolousy really!!
I was then told by a friend that her book was really good and it really opens your eyes into what her and her family go through in day to day life. (things what we take for granted)
I purchased this book from a book sale for £7.00 , i understand you can buy it from all different book stores and they vary in price from £7.00 to £15.00 so look out for the offers. It has an attractive front cover with a picture of victoria on the front, it also has 12 chapters which are quite long but each one very good. The actual print of the text is of medium size, so it's not too small to read.
The book starts off with victoria describing her backround life when she was younger...

So did you vote for Victoria Baths?
Review of Victoria Baths by
duskmaiden
Advantages: fascinating piece of social history, the intersting guided tours, the beautiful stained glass windows and the mosiac floors
Disadvantages: unlileny to be a success as a working swimming pool due to more modern pools
...So who watched BBC2’s conservation voting program Restoration then? Wasn’t it an interesting fascinating series? Those who watched it will know that Victoria Baths in Manchester was the winner. I know there were complaints that they were not old enough, not worthy of the money or where not a country house but I voted for them . I suppose I am biased as they are about quarter of an hours walk from where I am sitting and they were my local building. However I did not jump on the bandwagon as I had visited them on a quiet open day about a year before Restoration. I revisited them on the day of the final and the place was absolutely mobbed. It is a shame it takes a television program to highlight history. Before then I am sure many people did not really want to know at all. I thought I would write my opinion on them to tell you what...

Luxury in Victoria!
Review of Hesperia London Victoria Hotel, London by
LittleHB
Advantages: Lovely hotel in convenient location
Disadvantages: Views aren't that great, but it is London!
...I have just returned from staying in this hotel with my boyfriend over New Years for 2 nights. We booked it through Hotel Direct, as they offered the best deal and I have used them before without any problems.
** Hotel Location ***
The address of this hotel is 2 Bridge Place,. Victoria, London, SW1V 1QA. Its situated directly opposite the side entrance of Victoria station & underground which is extremely handy! You come out of the hotel and cross the road and your in the station. Despite this, the road that it is on is pretty quiet, and there's no noise from the station, although there were a couple of building sites nearby, but these were pretty quiet (but could have been because it was New Years Day!) However, most of London is a building site at the moment, they seem to be sticking apartments up in every little space they can...

Victoria Plumb; Shockly Poor
Review of Victoria Plumb - victoriaplumb.com by
InMyExperience
Advantages: Enticing web site and easy online payment
Disadvantages: Poorest service imaginable, simplest of order turned into 4-5 month saga
...This outfit "Victoria Plumb" are shockingly poor. I waited patiently for 2 months whilst Victoria Plumb obtained stock of the item they advertised on their web site and told me by phone was "...imminently due in stock...". Early Oct they took payment saying stock was in. Now, 19th Nov I still haven't received items, refund or any response from their "Customer Service" dept. I eventually received one item few weeks ago in the wrong size and wrong quantity. I got through to them by phone and was then promised correct items for last Friday. No delivery resulted, there was no contact and their non-0870 number (01482330663) that I now use because of the level of call costs over the last few months from my mobile, now appears to be almost permanently engaged. I have spent a fortune on Victoria Plumb's customer-charging 0870 phone number, I...
