extra cauliflower for anyone question mark
Review of Vittoria Restaurant, Edinburgh by
molelover
Advantages: cheerful, friendly service, authentic home-cooked food, extensive menu
Disadvantages: busy and not sparklingly clean, non central location
...Revisiting Vittoria’s restaurant last Friday was a blast from the past for me. We used to eat there every Friday lunchtime in my last job, so it’s a place of memories, and a place where bitching was once rife. (and probably still is!)
Although the official address is Brunswick Place, I tend to think of it as being right in the middle of Leith Walk, which was very convenient for our office but not very for anyone in the rest of Edinburgh. Having said that, it’s only a hop, skip and a jump from both the new Omni Complex in Edinburgh, and the Playhouse theatre.
Vittoria’s is one of those Italian restaurants where the food is 110 per cent authentic, and because of that, you don’t mind the lack of almost anything else. Before a fire and it’s recent refurbishment, it was a pretty tatty looking joint on the inside, but now it is clean...

Pavia
Review of Pavia (Italy) by
Simona28
Advantages: Good atmosphere
Disadvantages: mosquitos in summer
...Pavia is a small town very close to Milan (just 30 km from Milan) if you go to Milan for business you should go to Pavia. You can take the train from Milano Centrale and in 30 minutes you are out of the busy city in an other small world. Is an old university town, full of students and rich of art. A lot of Romanic churches, the Visconteo castle, the river Ticino and also lovely shops, pizzerie and restaurants. Yoy can' miss the "aperitivo" in Piazza Vittoria, and you can see all the students around there very chatty....

Dan Brown's Angels and Demons
Review of Angels and Demons - Dan Brown by
Peperami
Advantages: Excellent, exciting and fast paced thriller
Disadvantages: Keeps you hooked, so forget doing other things
...Dan Brown
Dan Brown is an American author of numerous number 1 bestsellers of thriller fiction his novels include: Digital Fortress, Deception Point, Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code and The Solomon Key soon to be released in 2006.
Main Characters
The main character in the story is Robert Langdon who also appears in the other novel the famous The Da Vinci Code and joins forces with Vittoria Vectra.
Introduction to the story
Robert Langdon a Harvard Professor of religious Symbology is awoken by a mysterious caller at 5.18am. Annoyed Langdon goes back to bed and ignores the caller, then a fax comes through on his fax machine a few minutes later, groaning Langdon picks up the fax and stares at it in horror, shocked and intrigued at the same time he see's a dead corpse, head twisted back, stripped naked with a single word branded...

He hasn't got as pope in hell!! (Sorry)
Review of Angels and Demons - Dan Brown by
Caylen
Advantages: Easy Reading,Not too serious but exciting to the end.
Disadvantages: A little far fetched towards the end
...for CERN (Council for European Nuclear Research) Perhaps working to use science to aid religion. Langdon is flown to Switzerland to the CERN head quarters to meet with the director of the organisation, one Maximilian Kohler. Kohler sugests that perhaps Vetra's work led to his demise. But what was he working on. Vetra's daughter is on route, called with notification of herr father's death. Vittoria Vetra is also physicist and had been working on a very secret joined project with Leonardo.Apparently nobody knew anything about it. Dan Brown's description of Vittoria led me to have a picture of her in mind similar to that of Sven Erickson's girlfriend Nancy, a fiesty Italian.
They were working to prove the big bang theory of the creation of the world. the big bank theory was prosposed by the Catholic church to say that in, "a single point...

Tyres that make a ride smooth and comfortable
Review of Continental Grand Prix 3000 Folding by
faye_y2k
Advantages: Resistant to punctures, smooth, range of colours available
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest, Hard to fit onto rims at first
...One of the first things that drawed me towards buying a pair of these tyres was the range of colours available, this meant I was able to choose a pair which matched the colour of my bike and kit, and after all, my old plain black tyres were looking abit boring.
These tyres grip the road well in wet weather so you feel more reassured; they perform just as well on dry roads also. I had previously used Vittoria tyres and one of the first things I noticed about the GP 3000's was that the ride felt so much smoother and comfortable.
These aren't the cheapest tyres on the market but if you shop around your sure to find a bargain somewhere. They are retailed at £25 but i found some for £17.99 each, however you get the quality that you pay for. I've also found that at the beginning they can sometimes be hard to remove and fit onto rims...

Disadvantages: Long. sometimes confusing
...] obsolete. 'They' kill the preferiti to make a statement...or do they? * Robert and Vittoria only have 24 hours to find it before it blows the Vatican to smithereens, which proves exceedingly hard and dangerous.
This plot of death at the beginning and Robert [in the end] falling in love with the daughter is similar to that of the Da Vinci Code, but this is better.
After the scientist is branded with the first of six illuminati brands, Robert and Vittoria se | | |
