Wagamama - a piece of heaven on earth
Review of Wagamama by
annaroos1
Advantages: Cheap, tasty food
Disadvantages: None
...The first time I went to a Wagamama noodle bar I was more or less forced there by a friend who said that she had a 2 for 1 meal voucher which would make it a cheaper evening for two cash strapped students. Even though she was raving about the place I was not convinced when she described it as a canteen style noodle bar...hmmm! It turned out I did not have much choice in the matter however, so we ended up meeting in Camden Town at around 7 on a Friday night. This, might I add, may not be the ideal time or day to go to Camden Town if you are simply after a decent meal, a glass of wine and a chat with a friend.
From the outside the restaurant looked very bright and maybe slightly clinical. When we entered we were immediately greeted by a hostess who took us straight to a table even though it seemed very busy. The seating arrangements...

Oxfords finally got a Wagamama's
Review of Wagamama, 8 market street, oxford, OX1 3EF, Oxford by
mtpatton
Advantages: Cheap, nice, healthy
Disadvantages: The service
...Wagamama's oxford
Wagamama's first UK restaurant opened in Bloomsbury in1992. At first its restaurants were limited to London and Dublin. However the outlet now boasts 50 UK restaurants and one of its newest openings is this Oxford restaurant, which opened, in September last year.
Wagamama's is located just off the main shopping street of Cornmarket and is handily on the way to the covered market, which is one of the biggest draws for shoppers in Oxford. For anyone who knows the area the restaurant is in the former pub that was Bar Oz. This was a fairly low key opening which no information in the local press and it was that I stumbled upon it whilst going for a baguette in the market at lunchtime did I realise that Oxford finally has a Wagamama's.
This is a chain that my girlfriend first introduced me to some time earlier...

Wagamama - Copenhagen
Review of Wagamama, tietgensgade 20, 1704, københavn v, Tivoli by
brereton66
Advantages: Reliable menu - 'atmosphere'
Disadvantages: Slow service, disjointed delivery and noisy
...Wagamama - Tivoli, Copenhagen
Having established themselves in the UK over the past 15 years, Wagamama have now begun to spread their wings abroad venturing across Europe and into the United States.
The new outlet in Copenhagen has taken a prime site in Tivoli Gardens with entrances from the park and the street outside. I dread to think what the ground rent for such a site would be but Wagamama is a popular, high volume restaurant which is invariably very busy.
What is Wagamama? ~
Wagamama serves a mixture Japanese noodle and curry dishes. The menu is pretty much the same in any outlet and the one in Tivoli looked very similar to the ones in Covent Garden and Bloomsbury I've been to in the past.
The template for each restaurant is the same and this one is no different. Seating is on long communal benches which you will share...

Wagamama Belgian Style
Review of Wagamama, de keyserlei 15, 2018, antwerpen, Antwerpen by
larsbaby
Advantages: Decent Japanese noodles
Disadvantages: Same as the Wagamanas at home
...INTRODUCTION
We all know Wagamama in the UK but did you know they've expanded abroad? I bumped into this branch in Antwerp when visiting the city last year and vowed that I would be back to try it another time. My opportunity came this year and here is what happened.
WAGAMAMA FOR BEGINNERS
After posting this elsewhere I realised you don't all know Wagamama! Well, it's kind of a Japanese noodle bar chain. You get dishes like stir fried rice or noodles or a big bowl of soup with noodles, known as Ramen. And apparently you should slurp such as dish as sucking in oxygen with it makes it taste better. One thing I could recommend is any dish with soba noodles, which are very tasty, thick buckwheat noodles. They also say that dishes arrive when they are ready, which gives them a ready made excuse when your seafood noodles...

Wagamama - Solihull, Touchwood
Review of Wagamama, 43 mill lane, touchwood, solihull, B91 3GS, Solihull by
sweetpea_sweetpea
Advantages: Cheap, wide selection of food, quick.
Disadvantages: Too much choice!!!!!
...I live in Warwickshire and I used to work in Touchwood and Wagamama was my most frequent destination at lunch because food was such a quick turnaround!!
You cant miss the restaurant - as soon as you come up the escalators Wagamama is directly to your left with big black bold lettering and clear glass so you can see all the diners!
The place is laid out like most of all the other places with long tables and little stools on both sides so you have to eat with other people which is a bit of run!
The menu is a piece of A3 paper already on the table which I think is a great idea!
Wagamama promotes fresh ingredients most of their dishes are noodle based with meat, vegetables and rice. They of course have side dishes. The food is always cooked fresh on the premises.
They also know that time is precious which is why the food is cooked...

If you fancy a bite to eat try Wagamamas
Review of Wagamama, Convent Garden, London by
kenigma
Advantages: Cheap, fast, good food.
Disadvantages: You may order more than you expected
...I decided to try Wagamamas knowing very little about it other than it was a Japanese restaurant. My mum and I were going out to the theatre that night and had planned on going to Tokyo Diner to have dinner before the theatre. In the end, we happened to park right outside Wagamamas. I had heard a lot of positive feedback from friends about Wagamamas and had seen a bit of advertising, so we decided we'd try it as it was a lot closer than Tokyo Diner.
The Wagamama in Covent Garden has a very unassuming entrance on the corner of one of the market buildings. The stairs lead down into the basement where the restaurant is. We got in and hung out coats up and were taken to our "table". I put table in quotes because the system in Wagamamas is basically bench seating. It saves a lot of space, and because of the atmosphere of the restaurant you...

Wagamamas - Yes Please!
Review of Wagamama, 1 york buildings, george street, bath, BA1 2EB, Bath by
Ottavia
Advantages: Fantastic restaurant, quick service, tasty meals at a great price!
Disadvantages: Only if you hate good food.
...Wagamama
Wow! If you're in Bath and you're thinking of eating out you absolutely must go to Wagamamas. The food, service and atmosphere is great. It's family friendly too (the provide highchairs and have lots of them, so you wont go without) and caters for everyone.
The atmosphere is a strange one to describe because it feels very unique. It's child friendly (also can provide things for kids to do, such as colouring) but if you didn't notice then you wouldn't realise. Everyone sits together and near each other but you're all totally different. Even though there are other diners around you still retain the feeling of just being at your table, almost bubble like. There are couples, families, tourists, friends, business partners and just about every collective you can think of. The reason being that it's not a definable...

Wagamama Newcastle UK
Review of Wagamama, 8 eldon square, newcastle upon tyne, NE1 6JG, Newcastle by
ali8086
Advantages: Great tasting Food!!!
Disadvantages: Seated next to strangers?!
...Wagamama is located just outside the Eldon Shopping Cenre, and is well signposted inside the centre so its easy to find. Please note there are stairs going up into the restaurant.
The staff were friendly and polite, but obviously very busy. I could see someone was been trained whilst I was there, which was good to see the staff are not just thrown in at the deep end. When our food order was given it was stated that the food may not come out together, which alarmed me. It seemed normal in this place for food not to arive at the same time. I have to say our food all came together so there was no issue. Bit I did notice the table of 3 next to me had to wait a while for the last meal to arrive, the other two friends were more than half way through their main course when the last friends food arrived.
Now the food, its best food I...

Hey Mama!
Review of Wagamama, Convent Garden, London by
Tricia24
Advantages: Really delicious healthy food, efficient service, good value
Disadvantages: Atmosphere lacking - see review
...This weekend I had some American friends staying. This had two consequences. Firstly I am absolutely exhausted from doing every London tourist attraction in existence in two days. Secondly I had the good fortune of rediscovering Wagamama’s. After enjoying a performance of ‘Fame!’ one of my friends, who has visited London before, decided we should go eat at Wagamama’s round the corner. I had only been once before a long time ago so I was more than happy to agree.
The first Wagamama’s opened on Streatham Street, Central London, in 1992. Since then restaurants have opened across London as well as nationally with plans for further expansion. Under the slogan of ‘Positive Eating – Positive Living’ Wagamama’s aims to serve tasty nutritious food while providing friendly service and value for money.
We visited the Covent Garden Wagamama’s...

I am not a Number!
Review of Wagamama, 63 queens road, clifton, bristol, BS8 1QL, Bristol by
Mitsudan
Advantages: Quick, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: Not Japanese, formulaic
...Imagine, if you will, a restaurant in some overpopulated, dystopian society of the future where a procession of anonymous diners on a conveyor belt are allocated a number, kept constantly on the move, served formulaic food by robots with a wireless connection to the kitchen, their payment extracted and ushered back onto the street duly fed and watered in a matter of minutes. No, that doesn't quite describe the Wagamama experience but it's getting there; the seeds have been sown.
This is not the venue for a romantic dinner for two, a quiet private chat over lunch or a leisurely gourmet extravaganza. It's more a case of wham bam thank you ma'am, fill your face, pay and leave. But let me elaborate.
Wagamama is a chain of restaurants that started in London 15 years ago and has spread throughout the United Kingdom and recently to other...
