Wahl certainly Clip those Barber bills
Review of Wahl HOME PRO by
Oriole808
Advantages: Saving made on haircuts
Disadvantages: you need to get a reliable person to help if you cant master yourself!!
...Not sure if this is the exact model Wahl but its probably near enough.
I have used a variety of hair clippers over the years but once i had my hair trimmed by a wahl-well there was no turning back, compared to others i used wahls have always done a bril job and never broke down in mid job like others i have used. I decided to buy one due to their look, reliability along with the fact every barber id been to used one form of wahl or another.
I paid £35, and have more than made that money back in savings on hair cuts. DIY is the way to go.
The product is easy to use and comes with a variety of blades to get different affects plus the all important instructions to get you on the road to being a barber(home style) which are easy to pick up to. maintenance is easy also. Cut down those barber bills and get trimming.

Hair Today-gone tomorrow
Review of Wahl Clipper by
cathie
Advantages: Easy to manoeuvre, low noise
Disadvantages: Slightly heavy if hand mobility is impaired eg. arthritic
...This was a purchase borne out of deparation as my regular dog-groomer retired and I just didn't have the time or skills to handstrip my two Border Terriers. The dogs are well loved pets, not show dogs who are always hand-stripped.
The Wahl Clipper has easy to read instructions with variable blade settings and attachments suitable for many types of dog hair. This makes it ideal for the novice who wants a tidy looking dog in good coat, whatever type of coat the dog has. Very easy to handle and manoeuvre the Wahl Clipper is easy to clean and maintain. Noise and vibration is minimal which the dogs found comfortable even around 'difficult' areas. This makes the whole process of grooming much easier and quicker. Highly recommended for the novice and a sound investment for professional dog-groomers....

TRIM ALL THE HAIR IN THE FAMILY!
Review of Wahl 79900 Clipn TRIM by
canonmiser
Advantages: reasonably cheap, very effective,21 accessories
Disadvantages: not found any.
...I bought the wahl clip 'n trim because we have a houseful of kids and it was costing me a fortune in haircuts! No more though. This is a brilliant trimmer- lightweight and easy to use.It is guarded well and painless even on young children.
Cuts even long hair.
The clipper has a built in trimmer.
There are 10 graded combs to attach if required.
Oil is included.
Cleaning brush.
Blade guard.
Scissors.
Comb
Flat top comb
Cape.
Neck duster.
Handy storage case.
I paid £45.00 and it has repaid me several times over. It's so good I might set up as a home hairdresser, or maybe not. When you look at the prices barbers and hairdresser charge these days then this is a really good buy.
Thanks for taking the time to read this review. All comments welcome...

Wahl wail.
Review of Wahl Clipper by
granadan
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Vibration, noise, rusty blades, heavy...
...I run a dog grooming parlour, so feel qualified to post on this subject.
I found Wahl clippers to be nicely small, but very heavy. Design is poor - to hold comfortably, your had covers the ventilation slots. This means you either suffer hand ache or rapidly heating blades. Add to that the fact that the attachable combs (flimsy, flexible things) will fall off the unit at the slightest hint of a knot, and you have a recipe for burnt skin on your dog.
They come with a tiny tube of blade lube - covered in warnings to keep away from the skin. Also with a woefully inadequate little brush to flick hair out of the blades. This shouldnt happen in a clipper. To my mind its a fire hazard for a start.
The clipper is a nice compact size, however, its weight ruins this one plus. Vibration was truly awful, and I have found many dogs become...

Three geniuses for the price of two
Review of Songs For Drella - Lou Reed/John Cale by
EthanWolfe
Advantages: Each song is different
Disadvantages: Lou Reed and John Cale's style is not to everyone's taste
...‘Drella’ was Andy Wahl’s nickname, a combination of ‘Dracula’ and ‘Cinderella. In this affectionate tribute to their former manager/producer, the Velvet Underground’s Lou Reed and John Cale are reunited in both song and spirit to create a musical biography of the 20th century’s most revered and reviled artist. A largely cut-down recording (many songs are just guitar and piano) the pair put their Velvet history behind them and manage to create something that borrows from each writer’s solo style and creates something new at the same time. While Lou writes and sings most of the material, it’s John Cale’s otherworldly approach that will stay with you. His poetic reading of one of Warhol’s haunting diaries is neither song nor poem; it transcends all usual definitions, it exists unique. Unusual among ‘rock monsters’ both Reed and Cale have...

Cutting It !
Review of Wahl 300 SERIES/3000-0494 by
CarlG
Advantages: Cheap, good quality, Good Results
Disadvantages: None
...Several years ago I noticed that shockingly for one in their mid twenties my hair was starting to disappear, so in an attempt to try and disguise this I took to having my barber give me an all over #2 shave. This soon progressed to a #1 with the result that every 2 weeks or so I would spend about 20 minutes waiting in the barber, then 5 minutes in the chair only to be relieved of between £5 and £6
It wasn't long before I got fed up of wasting both my time and money and decided to invest in a hair clipper of my own, preferably one which was produced by a well known company and is reasonably priced so I opted for the Wahl 300 Series.
The clipper came in a nice although not overly sturdy carry case in which there was the clipper, 8 'combs' (grades 1 to 8) which are used to vary the length of the cut /shave, a pair of scissors...

SalonEasy was definitely Easy!
Review of saloneasy.com by
chriswilcox1980
Advantages: Cheapest i could find, Rapid Delivery, Easy to Use.
Disadvantages: None!
...I recently stumbled across www.saloneasy.com, whilst I was looking for a pair of professional clippers for shaving my head at home (It seems expensive paying £10 to have my head shaved in a barbers!). I decided, whilst reading reviews that Wahl was probably the make to go for, as they seemed to be the leaders in professional clippers, and it was a make that I had heard of before.
After snooping around a few review websites (including ciao), i decided that the Wahl Super Taper, was probably my best option, so enter google search. I like to spend a while searching when i purchase things as I am obsessed with trying to find the cheapest price! I found a few websites, but saloneasy just came in the cheapest at £33.99 plus postage, which i was delighted with, as similar retail clippers from argos cost around 30 quid.
I clicked buy now...

Review of WAHL homepro 22 piece kit by
weirdstop
Advantages: saves on hairdressing fees
Disadvantages: you have to do it yourself or trust a freind
...WOW what a piece of kit!!
Seeing as I am seriously addicted to crew cuts and flat tops, many years ago I bought an older style WAHL ( the same type as my mum used to trim the dog) and was very happy with it. So when it finally bit the dust I went to get a new one.
Off I popped to Asda and notice a boxed kit for £19.99.
A black plastic case contained all the bits and bobs you need. You get several combs grading from 1 to 8 (the longest my old one did was a 4) and a comb for each side of your ears (but they taper to very short so be warned). 4 large clips for separating the hair which can come in very handy, a tapered hand comb and an ordinary hand comb, the obligitory tiny bottle of oil, a brilliant pair of scissors which actually cuts hair ( which I keep well hidden in the box so other people cant use them for wire stripping...
