...Yes I went to the play off finals to watch West Ham play Crystal Palace and basically West Ham didn’t turn up. The day was perfect the West Ham fans out numbered the Palace fans. On the M25 and M4 it was all West Ham in Limos, coaches, cars the lot. My company I work for employees about 400 people, About 125 of those went to the game. Traffic jams all along the M4, we had to get a train from Newport Gwent because the traffic was so poor. The day had everything right about it, my brother and me were meeting at a pub car park about 7.00 am the day of the final. We were getting a mini coach with 8 other mates. One of our mates wife’s did a sack full of food which was just perfect. Drink was available as well and flags were hung to the windows of the van. Everything was in place for a perfect day. ...Being a West Ham supporter I'm probably going to be baiost towards wetsh ham but I can't help so sorry. West Ham have just plumeted further and further down the Premiership table until they finally reach the place where only the likes of Stoke can be found. What are West Ham doing for god sake. The first thing I want to mention is the lack of the ability to actually choose a good manager. I don't know why we got rid of Harry Redknapp, he was a very good manager, he knew all the tricks of the trade when it came to managering. Ok he may have bought a few idiots like Christian Dailly, but he also got us our greats. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have Jermaine Defoe or we wouldn't have had Paulo Di Canio. ...the game love it for all the same reasons that men do. The skill. The passion. The tantalizing successes. As far as I’m concerned it is easy to support success, espcially in a club like Manchester United, and I know about that sort of motivation because initially it is why I fell for (and it’s not all that often you read “success” and my club’s name in the same sentence) West Ham in a big way. At the tender age of 6, I was a tomboy who built tree houses, had a coveted selection of marbles and one of the best toy car collections on my estate. My indoctrination into the sport was a slow and subtle one and I was aware of football in as much as the boys at school would occasionally let me kick the ball around with them.
