The album is completely full to the brim with great songs. ...I'm sure you have all heard of Whitney Houston. Whether or not you actually like her mucic is a different matter. It seems everyone has their own opinion of her, be it good or bad. Personally i have to say i consider myself a fan. Released in 1987 as the follow up to her multi platinum selling debut, and simply entitled Whitney, this album reached number one on both the American and UK charts, and i would say it's one of my favourite Whitney albums. To be honest the album is pretty much what you would expect from Whitney in the 80's, the decade of big hair (check out that front cover pic!) Perhaps the most well known song on the album is the infamous 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)' The album also contains the trademark Whitney ballads complete with big gutsy, vocals and doesn't stray too far away from the vibe of her debut... ...I bought this album about 3 months ago as it was on special offer at my local Virgin Megastore. I think it was reduced from about £15 to a more consumer friendly £10 ( quite a bargain ) so I decided upon the purchase..... The album : Whitney Houston Greatest Hits, is a 2cd combination. The first side is titled Cool down, and is mostly compiled of her older hits, such as " I Will Always Love You " and " One Moment In Time ". ...I am a huge fan of Whitney Houston and have been from day one. I have all her albums and when her greatest hits came out 2 months ago i wasnt sure if i was going to buy it as i thought i would only be duplicating alot of what i had already. However I gave in and havent looked back. The double cd is just magnificant and it goes everywhere with me in the car. The ist cd is called the "cool down" and features 18 of her really mellow hits from the last 20 years including that ever popular "I will always love you" and the 2nd cd is called the "Throw down" and features 17 of her more upbeat and club versions of her songs over the last 20 years also. I can say that i am still and will still, enjoy this compilation for many many years to come and instead of rumiding around through all my Whitney Cds to find my favourite songs i now... Read review

Advantages: Easy listening

...Saturday night and the house to myself so im sat here relaxing with a glass of wine (well my third) and ive got on some cheesy music - The Bodyguard soundtrack, ive not heard it for ages so i thought i would put it on and see if there was a ciao option and to my surprise there is: The bodyguard in which Whitney plays a singer called Rachel (what a fab name) and she is really famous and she gets this bodyguard to protect her - Kevin Costner and she falls in love with him etc... Anyway this is one of the best sound tracks to a film that i have got, basically they are all whitney's songs, for example the CD contains, * I will always love you * I have nothing * Im every woman * Run to you * Queen of the night * Jesus loves me * Even if my heart would break * Someday (im coming back) * Its gonna be a lovely day...
