...Where do I start to tell you about willow? There are literally hundreds of different species willows in the genus Salix. The willow/ Salix are a native tree of England and other countries too. Some trees of the Salix species are miniature and grow only 6 feet 2 metres tall other species grow up to 60 foot/ 20 metres tall A willow tree is probably one most people will recognise for the flower catkins commonly called pussy willow. Some of the willow species produce this flower it's a soft stroke able almost furry little catkin about 3 to 7 cm long. It's very sensual; if you have some near you I defy you not to stroke at least one catkin. If you look now you will find pussy willow catkins on willow trees. ...Willow has developed over the five seasons of Buffy into my favourite character in the show. At first I liked just her haircut but that was really beside the point. Willow started the show as an insecure young science geek with a crush on her sole real friend Xander. When Buffy arrived she quickly became Willow’s idol but that changed into a true friendship. Willow’s use to the forming “Scooby gang” was shown quickly with her ability to find out information via the computers. This was diminished slightly during the presence of Jenny Calender (the computer teacher and internet witch) but her death brought Willow into the world of Wicca. ...Willow was originally the source of salicylic acid, the main component of aspirin, though it is now chemically manufactured. If you have run out of aspirin an infusion of the leaves of Salix Alba, the willow tree is a good natural alternative. It provides mild pain relief and the taste is not unpleasant. It can be hard to obtain - it is best if you use leaves from a nearby tree rather than buying them dried. Your infusion should be of about a handful of leaves per 500ml of boiling water and you should leave it to steep for approximately 20 minutes. Drink cups of it throughout the day as yo feel the need - don't be worried about overdosing on willow - the concentration of the active ingredient is quite weak. I've used it a few times - particularly to ease mild period pain, however if you use it for this you should remember... Read review

Faith comes in with Angel... who was sent for by Willow before she became the Big Evil... and they see Buffy... hunched over and crying... she sees them... and straightens herself up... Angel asks if there is anything that he can do... but Buffy brushes him aside and goes to the slayerettes... and tells them that now is the time to stand... she is tired of just talking and not doing... ...Hazel, after writing about pussy willow I really had to write about Hazel. The Hazel species of tree s are one I really like. The hazel (Corylus avellana) is a member of the Birch tree family Betulaceae . There are at least 15 Hazel species. It grows in Britain and throughout Europe also Russia, morocco, Algeria, Turkey, and Iran .The Hazel tree is very common in Scotland. The reason I love the hazel is because of its catkins in February. These adorn the branches before its leaves and leaves of many other trees too. A twig with catkins on looks lovely in a flower arrangement with daffodils, a real spring decoration. The Hazel tree grows to 10 meters, but on a lot of land it does not reach that height. Sarah Michelle Gellar, the main character, (Buffy) is a vampire slayer and she must kill all evil vampires, monsters and demons in the show. Buffy first came to Sunnydale, California when she was in High School. She instantly made friends with Willow Rosenborg, and Xander Harris, who fancied her at first. Willow is a witch, and helps Buffy in her battles by doing spells. She then made friends with Cordelia Carpernter and Angelus, who is a vampire. Salicin comes from the bark of willow trees, hence the name. According to history, the area where the source is found was once a vast forest of white willow trees. Apparently over time, well hundreds of years, rain water has been filtering through layers of white willow remains found under ground. It has slowly built up into an underground spring, which was believed to have been first discovered by 12th Century monks. Disadvantages: Well it costs quite a bit but I think it is worth it.

..., Xander's wise cracks and Willow's soft, caring nature. It really is a great programme and the charcterisation and acting is as good as you are ever likely to see. The meetings and breaking up of Buffy and Angel really are emotional and dramatic and you really do feel sorry for her. It is impossible not to warm to Willow and Xander whilst Cordelia can become in Gile's words "tiresome" she can provide a few laughs too. Overall if you are a Buffy fan it is great to be able to get the boxsets so that you can replay your favourite moments whether it is heart warming romance scenes of Buffy and Angel or Riley or whether it seeing Cordelia, Willow, Xander and Oz trying their very hardest to fill Buffy's boots as slayer whilst she is away. It is all here and it is glorious as always.... Read review
