...What do you love most about New York? Is it the fabulous architecture, the hustle of the busy city, the bright lights of times square of just the amazing sights?? Well after visiting Woodbury Common you may not select any of the above but simply state SHOPPING!!!!! On my second visit to New York we had decided to make the trip to Woodbury Common as we had heard this mentioned so many times before on our last trip but never had the money to make the trip over there. **What is Woodbury Common?** It is a member of the Chelsea Premium Outlets group and is a much larger version of our McArthur Glen Outlets, so if any of you have read my previous review on Cheshire Oaks you will know that I was in heaven when I read up on Woodbury Common. Advantages: Lots to see, plenty of places to visit, fantastic restaurants
Disadvantages: Can be expensive to travel over and stay at peak times

...and discounts at various locations. The sightseeing tour is well worth its money in gold, if you are travelling in November it can get pretty cold if you are on one of the open top buses so wrap up warm and ensure that there is plenty of battery life left in your camera and you will be able to get some superb shots of your visit. I enjoyed Madame Tussauds and got to pose with Beyonce, Madonna and the gorgeous George Clooney!! Advantages: Shop till you drop at great prices
Disadvantages: The credit cards take a beating!

...which you go into as far as distance from Manhattan. I have just come back from a week in New York and stayed at a hotel called The Moderne, which was most disappointing (review will be forthcoming once added to the NY hotels). I have also stayed at The Pennsylvania, The Mansfield and The Helmsley Park Lane (see my review on this). The Pennsylvania is a two star budget hotel which is very reasonable (and HUGE), The Mansfield is another modern hotel and the rooms are small but very elegant (again awaiting hotel to be added). If you have a big budget then go for real style with The Plaza, the epitome of Manhattan luxury. It is due to shut in mid-April for 18 months for a $25 million overhaul As far as shopping goes if you are going to be there for a reasonable time then I HIGHLY recommend a trip out to Woodbury Common which is the outlet...
