WHAT DID I MAKE OF IT ALL?
Well the acting in this film made me chuckle, I don?t recall laughing so much at this film when I first saw it in the 80s but the acting came across as really camp when I watched this again recently.
I have no idea why they thought it would make any kind of sense to put a big butch guy like Dharmendra in a mini-skirt throughout this film. We don?t know when the film is supposed to be set but it?s in an era before cars and fashion obviously. It really was not pleasant to see chunky thighed Dharmendra ...

You had Heer-Ranjha.. Laila Majnu.. and now theres Veer Zaara.. another truly great love story. The film is full of emotion, romance, songs, drama and most importantly.. soul, which has been lacking in quite a few bollywood movies lately!

Directed by legendary Bollywood film-maker Yash Chopra, Veer Zaara was released in November 2004 (to coincide with Diwali that year), with the screenplay and dialogue by his son Aditya Chopra (with the father and son team producing the team). It stars Bollywood's blue eyed boy Shah Rukh Khan (he hasn't got blue eyes, but you know what I mean), the gorgeous Preity Zinta and the adorable Rani Mukherjee with strong support from Kiron Kher, Divya Dutta, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher there were also guest appearances from Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini.
