Can't be missed when visiting Geneva! Can be seen from far away and even lighted in the evenings in the summer season. It's big fun to walk towards the Jet d'Eau itself via a narrow path, be carefull can be very slippery! Be prepared to get wet especially when the winds are coming from the cityside..... When close to it, look towards the top and enjoy the power of this jet!

Advantages: Location is fairly central, staff are attentive to requests
Disadvantages: No restaurant, basic room facilities, housekeeping could be improved

Shame about the hotel. We've just got back from Switzerland and had a fantastic time. We were pleasantly suprised by the prices after everything we had heard. Geneva was the most expensive, but the public transport is excellent especially if you can buy a Swiss Rail Pass of some type. by Ruthiejane

Advantages: Close to town, not too big, easy transport links, Easyjet hub

Advantages: Very easy rail access to the city and other parts of Switzerland.
Disadvantages: Departure lounge cafe closes early evening. Have to pay to use ladies loo on railway platform.

When you travel by budget sirline it is the flight that is cheap. Travellers pay the same airport tax to use the facilities as any other passenger. 8.30pm is hardly an unsociable time. Even Luton, a much smaller airport, has bars and cafes open late in the evening after all flights have left. by shimmie

I've been to Geneva airport many times - but if you travel by budget airlines during unsocial hours - you're always going to find most of the facilities closed! Mind you, having said that, when they are open they are incredibly expensive! Try the chocolates - hand made - delicious. by GrimTweaker
