If you can only go to one place make it here!
Review of Spier Wine Estate, Cape Town by
vdme
Advantages: Romance, family friendly, beautiful.
Disadvantages: too good to leave..
Wow! what a place. This may not be a true reflection of southern Africa but it is a wonderful place to have a romantic evening dining out under a tree. The estate incompasses many things to do. For the family you can spend the day looking around the es ...

Quick review of Victoria & Albert Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa
Review of Victoria & Albert Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa by
Matey2U
Great location.
If you are looking for a hotel in Cape Town this has a great location in the heart of the V&A Waterfront. South Africa is daunting as the safety concern is of great importance. While trying to find a hotel I had no idea about where I should stay in Cape Town. If you are in that position then hopefully this review will help.
This hotel is in the heart of waterfront which means you will feel safe. That means you can venture outside of your hotel day or night and feel secure. There are a few restaurants in the hotel building and a small shopping centre too, parking is limited but there is plenty of secure parking within 5 minutes walk.

Quick review of Two Oceans Aquarium (South Africa)
Review of Two Oceans Aquarium (South Africa) by
Matey2U
Perfect for children. It is very busy but there is an incredible selection of fish there. I am not a fish fan and only went there as there is not much to do in Cape Town when it is cloudy and wet. But it was a nice way to spend a couple of hours. There are some really huge fish tanks, and some very unusual creatures (spider crabs? Scary.). Most of the fish are examples of what is found in the waters near Cape Town.
Tip - go to the Aquarium before you do the bus tour as the Aquarium ticket will give you a discount on the bus. We only found that out too late....

Review of Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town by

Advantages: Safe location
Disadvantages: No indoor swimming pool (that's all I can think of!)
A lovely hotel, in a great location. That sums it up!
In the UK it would be a 4*, but you you are in South Africa. Little things are different - for example you don't get fresh toiletries upon arrival, you will have half-full bottles and they only get ...

Quick review of Balthazar Restaurant
Review of Balthazar Restaurant by
sesprit
I went for dinner with a colleague. The place is nice, but there is a problem if you want to seat inside... It smell too much the food ! It's a bit digusting. If you stay outside, there is problem. The service is good. But for the price... i think this is very expensive. If you order a Sirloin with chips, you have that in your platte. No more, no decoration, nothing. Their is a large choice of wine, but so... expensive ! The place is nice but be carreful of the quality and prices !
