We have a perfect time in Dominica. Calibishie is a small nice place and located in a nice village. Room 6 has a nice view. Chris and Linda are lovely people. Just try it out.

Day trips to Dominica

Advantages: Beautiful scenery, very friendly people and whales
Disadvantages: Not really a beach island.

Thanks for the feedback. Can't really give costs, as these change all the time (and quite frankly I can't remember what we paid for local tours). Best time of year? Well, we went in October and December - both were perfect weather wise. Must visit places were mentioned. As for the whale trip, it was about 2 hours I think. Yes it was windy as we were out at sea or zooming across the waves, but as it is the caribbean it wasn't cold. We departed from the port, Rosseau (I think), we literally walked along from our ship to get on the Catamarran. by NibblingFudge
